Oh Snapple’s, just bought another one :hihi:
Looks like if you don’t mind silver they’re still in stock at Signal.
Do the black colored ones sound darker?
Thanks for the tip! :guinness:

A head's up for North American customers...Happy Nerding has been working hard and just sent another batch of modules to AH on Thursday 4/30.
The only uncertain thing is the shipping time. But please get in-touch via email to be alerted as the shipment gets closer to the US side.

About the current orders, as of Thursday night 65 of the 100 modules from the most recent batch of 100 have been shipped.
I hope to get another 15 or 20 done on Friday and the remainder Monday or possibly Tuesday. I am shipping them out as quickly as possible considering our other orders plus the California Shelter in Place regulations which mean, basically, no help allowed at the moment. :(

The best way to get ahold of me is via email, not this thread.

Thank you,

Shawn

@igorrr similar to delay vowel, would a reverb vowel be possible?
Reverb vowel was present from the start, named "Reverb Chorale" after the same reverb in BigSky. And it has smoothly variable vowel resonance control compared to the stepped resonance in BigSky.

Signal Sounds has black and silver in stock. Also, they ship to Texas faster than US retailers (2-3 days in my experience) in case anyone is afraid of overseas shipping.

Only silver by the time I got mine, which was literally within a couple of minutes of getting the e-mail.

Phew, at last!

I wish I had done some deeper research before buying the thing - I had assumed incorrectly that all the effects were stereo in to stereo out.

I was mistaken. Still really cool module but less than usable for me.

Don’t the mono in effects sum the left and right for processing, but preserve the dry stereo signal for the dry/wet mix? If so, that’s normal in the fast majority of effects.

Ok. Let me phrase it better.

Why work hard at generating sound in a stereo image just to send it to an effect that sums to mono and converts to stereo?

Would you want to send a modulated QPAS into a mono sum?

I hope that is a bit more clear. I'm not knocking the device - i'm knocking my lack of research.

I would say that is not the norm in 2020 and I would like to see that trend die.

Not only that - when the mix is full dry and I plug in both left and right, the left channel is muted.

Can anyone confirm or deny that is normal operation?

Dry is always stereo if patched that way. What exact effects you need to be stereo input?

Hi Igorr - it's actually not stereo when the d/w knob is full dry.

Is is supposed to mute the left channel when the right input is plugged in?
(At least on my module that I just received)

Nothing is muted of course. Stereo in is stereo. Left input is copied to the right if right is uplugged for central panned mono as it should be. Please check again with different cables and pm me if the problem is not solved.

I was also a little bummed that Bloom/Cloud and Black Hole weren't stereo in but I'm imagining they're just too much for Spin's tiny brain.

Is it just me, or are the swell algorithms (dry & wet) hardly prominent?

FX AID already has stereo input reverbs for all the real spaces.
BigSky has all its reverbs being mono input. Original Blackhole by Eventide is also mono input.
Those unreal reverbs can not have true stereo input anyway and do not need it. Nobody yet reported concert hall acoustic properties inside black holes.

"Swell" is a special reverb type for long tones. You can not set rise time to 10 sec and feed the Swell reverb with a snare hit: there is no time for the reverb to build up. Please check youtube demos for this effect.
