^ / ^^ your going to love it, its such a great synth. It has quickly become one of my all time favourites. It just has something, don't know what it is, but its just fun and intriguing to play.

Who's ever got one, enjoy it. Karl has scrapped the polygamist. According to his FB, it was to much time and trouble. Shame, I'd like to have owned one. Considering there are probably less than 50 in existence, I'd say my chances are fairly slim of doing so now. :despair: :waah:

Oh man, thats a pity. It must be a pain to build or something. Its an inspired instrument, shame there won't be more of them about.

I HAVE TO GET ONE! that being said, I'm absolutely broke. I wonder what's the list price after the discount that he's talking about on the website. :despair: :despair: :despair: :despair:

Thanks.

It was fun gig to play. I was planning to play 20-25min gig, but I somehow lost my sense of time (there was also a really long drone part) so the performance lasted 40min

Looks like I missed out on the Polygamist.

Can anyone recommend anything similar as I liked the idea behind it which I believe was to have a synth that was more out there than what might be considered standard but more controllable than a lot of circuit bent instruments - best of both worlds.

Failing that I suppose I'll have rely on the slim chance that one comes up for sale used.

Cheers.

Well fuck there goes my fun money for the next few months
I just ordered one from Analogue Haven! :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:

Thanks for the heads up freeyerheel.
Though the Ekdahl website still says discontinued so my guess is the one I just bought must have been commissioned before Karl decide to stop making them.

This is one of the most fun synths I've ever played! I'm glad a few more peeps were able to get in on this through AH. Massive respect to Karl for fully realizing this amazing instrument into creation.

My polygamist is on it's way! Don't think I've ever been so excited about getting anything before. This, plus the pro2 (in August), and my modular. I think my musical dreams are finally realized :). Gonna have to quit my day job and just jam out all day for the rest of my life

Sorry leFreq!!

I know Shawn had a few of them in stock so not sure if I was the last one per se. However I know how u feel as I've been lusting for this synth since I came across it over a year ago. I must have some good karma payback because now I feel really lucky to be one of the few owners of this amazingly unique synth.

Anyhow I wish u luck that one day you and the polygamist will at last cross paths.

You were the last one... I looked at it the night before you posted and it was in stock... then you posted and it wasn't. Could be a coincidence, though... depends when you bought it... but doesn't matter!

Oh well, it would have been a cool b'day present to myself, but this saves me some cash in the end... and I have a huge Euro system, so idk what I even want with this thing. :hihi:

Congrats on the new synth. If you don't gel with it or something, you know who to PM.

Yeah I posted about a week after I actually ordered it. Out of curiosity I checked back to AH and it was in stock for about 5 days.

Random fun fact: According to the Knas facebook page only 54 polygamists were made (including the test unit)

I missed out on this too! Ordered it when the order button still worked at AH, but it turns out that there wasn't enough to get every order account for.
I'm also now looking for one! :goo:
