I received my copy of this the other day, it is a beautiful hardback and an excellent book. Great job by the people involved.

Oh cool.
I didn't know about this. My GF has been asking what I wanted for Christmas.
Thanks for posting about it.

Looking on Amazon, there's a pre-order for Feb 28, 2017. For much more than the UK version :waah:

I have an original copy, it's interesting to get an insight into how she thought about sound design and there is some basic info. I get a emperors clothes feeling now...

Am I the only one to have read this and thought "if they cut out the metaphysical woo woo talk you would have around 20 pages of content?"

Sure its an interesting book if you want to get more of a understanding of the woman, but as a synth theory book there are better choices I think, all that metaphysics junk was more a barrier for me than anything. I thought there would be more "meat" to the book.

I haven't read this book, and I'm not going to.
I've already made a telepathic and metaphysical connection with Daphne. I've touched her Oramics machine, and listened to her work, that's enough.
Meat can sometimes be an overwhelming flavour that obscures what is already a plate full of delightful ingredients.

There are lots of good books concerning electronic music. This is not one of them
