Not to be all mainstream but how about Moon Shaped Pool and Black Star. They were both VERY good.

This record is just fucking insane. Incredible. I get goosebumps listening to it. I actually didn't know he was mostly using a modular for making it, which makes it even more interesting. Absolutely love it. :woah:

Not a lot caught my (sustained) attention this year, but these come to mind:

Inventing Masks - s/t
Fousek / Hansen / Tellier-Craig - No Sound Without A Misunderstanding
Revert / Rossetto - Earnest Rubbish
Ruhlmann / Strickland - This Heap Is Greater Light
Machinefabriek - Minuten

High hopes for the Lambkin, Block and Colley albums that are imminent.

absolutely floored by grischa lichtenberger's 3xEP. in a year with new autechre and aphex which were both fantastic, i'm honestly considering the possibility that this will be my top. lovely variance between the EPs, ranging from harsh, abstract, digital tones to sampled live percussion and warm ambience. highly recommended!

Danny Brown - Atrocity Exhibition

I'm so behind with new music! Could someone please recommend something with interesting and powerful electronics AND rapping?

For some reason, I've really been into rap lately. One popular genre that can use experimental electronic music to great affect.

Do you like grime? Check Mumdance for powerful electronics with MCs.

Here's one of his bigger tracks:

Great choices here !

I've picked a few off everyone's list to listened to. I love "end of the year" lists like these to check things that I forgot to check.

Mine would be something like this :

Sky Girl Compilation
Huerco-S - For Those Who Have...
Bitcoin' Bajas & Bonnie Prince Billy
Woo - Awwaawa
Swans - The Glowing Man
Morgan Delt - Phase Zero
Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith - EARS + collar with Suzanne Ciani

Probably others too, I need to dig in my records

This is definitely one of my top picks for 2016.
That said, I think hands down the best release of the year is

Nonagon Infinity by King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard.

Full of Awesome :hail:
