Post AUDIO please (WIARD 300)
I'd love to hear the oscillators and Omni filter,
but any 300 system stuff is welcome and appreciated.
The Wiard designed modules in euro are some of my favorite.
I haven't paid much attention to the 300 system due to availability.

You can open it up and insert any chip you want, so the question is kind of moot? The stock chips are different in content but identical in size/scale/format (16x16 matrix). Neither stock ROM is particularly focused on smooth simultaneous x and y interpolation; you'd need to invest in a Morphine or Vector chip to get that. If you download the manuals for each, you can view the actual waveforms.wavehead wrote:How different are the wavetables on a Waveform City than on a Miniwave?

It does seem strange to me that the WC has different functions to the miniwave. The miniwave implies slimmed down features... It would be great if the WC housed multiple chips. If the Piston Honda can do it I dont see any reason why the Wiard can't.plord wrote:You can open it up and insert any chip you want, so the question is kind of moot? This thread in combination with the recently posted pricelist has got my head spinning (in a good way).

Also do you play drums and guitars too, or is that your band?
The whole set of them, with waveform city x 2 were used. the slabby bass sound is ModCan, all of the other sounds that are not string machine/pad, drums, guitar, e-piano are from the wiard. The powerchords and bass guitar are me, the lead guitar is my friend Mark. The drums I programmed using Sonic Couture "Variable Ambience Drums", I tracked in a wogglebug freakout and tried to program the effect of some poor hapless drummer attempting to play along with THAT.
Thanks y'all. I think I've got an idea of how it sounds.
And that composition is really nice Norman. I especially like
the 4:30-5:30, crazy.

Nice job on the drums too, I thought they were live first!
If I go for a system, I will probably just have space for 1 oscillator along with the other modules I want, not sure whether to get the WC or the Classic VCO.
The WC might be interesting as I have no wavetable OSC's at the moment and I already have 2 euro anti's that I'm hoping will compliment the 300.
What the 'Blues' sound like...
i realize this may be rather late for the fellow who started this thread, but since Grant now has the means to produce the Blues again, this seems an appropriate time to mention that there are four audio 'commercials' here:
http://www.wiard.com/samples/samples.html
(wiardcomm1,2,3,& 4)
all of the non-speech audio was produced using only Wiard 300 modules.
Sequantizer
Waveform City
Omni Filter
Envelator
Mixolator

I've posted this video before, but some people may not have seen it.
It's made using five 300 series modules (Classic VCO, Waveform City, Envelator, Mixolator & Wogglebug), a diy Buchla 258 vco, Wiard Noise Ring, Fritz Jerkster & a Bugbrand CTL-1 touchplate.

Only just noticed we now have a Wiard section, here are a few Wiard 300 tracks..
La Belle Sequence is a simple linear FM patch. I've just stripped out a track from a piece I'm working on so it's a bit long and there's a fair amount of reverb.
http://soundcloud.com/chamomile-shark/la-belle-sequence
"Through the Gates" - apart from the choir it's all Wiard, 95% 300 series
http://www.soundclick.com/util/getplaye ... 66852&q=hi
The rest are 100% Wiard - there might be a boogie filter or noisering but most is 300 series - more abstract stuff
"I thought I had lost my Friend" -
http://www.soundclick.com/util/getplaye ... 14438&q=hi
"This House is like a a Ship" -
http://www.soundclick.com/util/getplaye ... 09400&q=hi
Clockwork UFO

Nice work Mark, the 300 has a really versatile tone. My VCO and Omni has arrived in customs... Can't wait for the rest of it.
Just out of interest what system to you have?

I think at the time I would have been
sequantiser
Classic VCO
Waveform City
Envelator
Dual Borg
Mixolator
Wogglebug
and then a Boogie filter and Noise ring.
things are now a little bigger.
