What is happening with Oberheim SEM?

Post by StillNotWorking » Wed Jan 15, 2020 6:26 am

Anyone know what's happening with the SEM?

Despite Gibson giving back his brand name it seems Tom has retired and all references to SEM and Two Voice are taken down from his site. Only OB6 are mentioned.

NAMM 2016/17 we first where introduced to SEM-X and later SEM Plus with Marion Systems Corporation. Not sure any of this happened yet, or if Tom are starting over yet again to license his name to some other manufacturer?

I don’t really remember, but were the Euro line even functional at NAMM? Either way, they never got past the prototype/trade show interest gauging before he retired.
