hmmm. This thread made me kind of thirsty. My favorite drinks are water and herbal teas.

You have any thoughts for what type of music I should listen to that might quench my thirst?
I'm thinking of buying a full set of mint condition classic Beatles vinyl. Any advice?

wow
I went back and read the original post more closely and lawl'd so hard at

"Lasty, to put Need for Speed music into perspective:

Need for Speed III: Hot Persuit - Released in 1998
Need for Speed: High Stakes - Released in 1999
I do not like any NFS music past Need for Speed 5 which was released in 2000. "

I can relate to geeking out about odd music, game music even.. but something about how adamant this guy was in outlining what specific Need For Speed game soundtracks were acceptable to him... classic.
I'd love to see this guy fill out a personals ad!! it'd be lawalapalooza

Everyone should've PM conspired, telling him to go with 2 full 18 boat Buchlas to get those kind of tones

Then we could've had second hand Buchla prices when his 261e's couldn't make a SUPARSAW to his liking

i dont really know if i would actually want to buy any of those modules considering all the things he has probably done to them in search for that 'rich in harmonic content' sine wave.

Babaluma - your reply, it's so good!

:hihi:

I twittered about this sell-athon yesterday, but also that he recently popped up on the MOTM list asking questions about the quality of MOTM modules! Be afraid.!

I noticed. He "can't wait to harness the raw sound quality that MOTM provides." I don't think that this boy knows his adjectives. Or he just can't describe things because he doesn't understand things. His selling sprees would be great if he wasn't so likely to fuck it all up looking for the virtual analog trimpot. I can't wait until he starts frothing at the mouth over the delivery time and panel size. The waveforms and tracking will be accurate and he won't know why it sucks.

For the record, all was not lost re: those discussions. I picked up some new bits of knowledge (this, for example). Even though the intended recipient of the information may not have benefitted from it, just know that others have.

With that said, do ya'll know of any modules that'll help me get this sound?

Yes yes! I would love to help him build my...er...his dream Buchla system.
dress yourself for the public. you now must exit your home and acquire a dental mirror and lubrication!
i recommend a hat, or a helmet. if a helmet, ensure that it is both convincing and unbiased. -citizen mori

you know you see this action all the time

situation:

i want to dj
ok so my mum and dad bought the most expensive equipment possible
and now why cant i mix, i cant sound like my favourite dj ****'s mix cd.
so what is wrong??

in the end these people are good for the industry, they keep manufacturers cashed up and they flood the market with cheap quality second hand goods.

A friend of mine had a LesPaul Custom, black, gold trim, beautiful! This is in HS. All I ever heard him play was dust in the wind. It sat there...real shame. I had an Ibanez Musicmaster or something. :bang:
