Sounds like Daniel Lanois in a box.

Reminds me a bit of clouds reimagined with some different features and workflow.

Price: If you have to ask, you can't afford it. :hihi:

(It does look purdy, though. I wonder if a new Delay might be coming, too.)

Edit: also interesting that it is screen-less.

This looks really interesting. $429 doesn't seem way overpriced for what it does.

The one thing you have to give Meris since splitting from Strymon is that at least they provide the chance to have even 4 presets available on their pedals. Enough with these incredible and deep effect pedals without being able to save a few presets. There are still instances where live gigs have to flow seamless down to the second.

Pretty sure those sequencer step buttons double as preset recall.

^ Yup. 16 slots via the front panel, 300 via MIDI per the product page.

I’m giving it a shot. This is a killer toolset to put together in a 1 knob/function box.

I have a feeling you don't keep yo with Strymon too closely.

They came out with a screen-less delay in this exact form factor called "Volante" maybe a year ago.

So they did. I completely forgot about that. :hmm:

I'd have to say this is definitely not the only "thing" to give Meris. They make fantastic pedals.

Grabbed one. Interested in seeing what
It’s capable of (and as to being Daniel Lanois in a box... I worked with him many years ago and will put that to the test.)
Gum is fun, but not on a cat.

My minds an art gallery.

I'm not either because Big Sky does more of what I want. This thing looks good in that it's probably the best interface for a shimmer pedal we've seen yet. That's so important since the parameters have to be dialed in just right for a good shimmer sound. You can't just use a preset for everything, which is why we heard so much bad shimmer when the Big Sky came out. I'm not wowed by the sound of the demos so far but they aren't really showing it the way most people use shimmer verbs.

I assumed that was already understood, and didn't need to be said. I regard the Strymon/Meris lineage as the absolute best in the FX world. The Ottobit, Polymoon, DIG, Big Sky and Deco are perfection to me.

I'm excited by this. This is a different verb to Big Sky, which I will keep. I think I will get one. I have to say I'm a sucker for Pete Celi's demos.

omg.
Coming out of recording school in the mid 90s I started working at Grant Ave studio, as well as Catharine North Studio. I picked up a lot of tricks with him (and got my hands on some serious equipment I had only seen in magazines. An incredible experience!

Ps: other people will probably have this before me, as shipping between the USA and Canada is a mess currently.

Yeah don't get me wrong, its a great pedal and I'm sure you can get a lot out of it. I'm just like meh... strymon have done reverbs, have done delays, etc.. felt like this was kind of the same same and nothing new. No bad words to the team, well done. Just don't think its much of a difference to call it something I'd want to purchase.

I have reverbs I like already, and MI Clouds for other crazy stuff. So I'm not in a rush to buy this. But if I didn't have those things, it would probably be an instant buy.

definitely some cool sounds to be found in those demos, but i can't stand traditional shimmer fx. they're overdone and cheesy to me. i'd like to see an iteration on their delay pedal.. but eventide will keep my reverb needs sustained for now. pun intended.
