Hipster Gear Shot Favourites

Post by Voltcontrol » Tue Sep 15, 2020 7:59 am

Hipster Gear shots. We all have our moments of succulent filled weakness. But do share please.

Potentially cringy Polyend Tracker shots by the seaside by Limbic Bits:

That photo makes me wish an unexpected tidal surge was behind the photographer.

Yes, I guess so. Everytime I see a succulent next to a modular or similar gear, I hurry away as fast as possible.

Yes... I don’t like a picture you took, so I hope a rather expensive piece of your gear gets destroyed to make up for me being offended.

You’re utterly full of hilarity.

Back to reality here, this is a fun idea! I need to find a way to get my JP6 to the beach haha!
Gum is fun, but not on a cat.

My minds an art gallery.

I'm a sucker for it, I have to admit. I think the natural aesthetic of plants/nature go ridiculously well alongside music tech. Guess I'm a hipster. :p

I've just fucked the rotator cuff in my right shoulder, so I don't see my carrying my Juno anywhere soon, but I do love this awful idea.

Haha, I love that this is happening!

I will grab a picture of something this weekend, and post up!

Those are pretty nice pictures. I'd much rather see a plant or a beach than some of the terrible strobe-light-led-rope-usb-light-direct-lit spaces some people seem to work in.

Oh don’t tell my three year old that the lava lamp is unhip.. He would literally just sit down in front of it and stare at it for 10 minutes.

I'm only being silly. Lava lamps are great. As are hipster gear aesthetics. You do you people!

reminded me of this
(note i have the utmost respect for The Dreadbox Folks, and i love the tongue-in cheek humour!)

I do sometimes have a slightly allergic reaction to potted plants, and playing a synth on a rug on the floor. But i gues it's just a sign of getting old, grumpy and set in your ways. It does look good, objectively. So why not?

Rugs!

My studio could do with a comfy rug on the floor tbh.

Oh man... yeah the rug and video setup is questionable but at least the dude can play so this doesn't offend me like the usual hipster vids with terrible music.

Why not both? :despair: *Walks over to the next room to fire up the lava lamps and check on the plants.* (No, seriously.)

I'm definitely not a hipster, though. (But I suppose that's exactly what a hipster would say, isn't it.)

Does that indeed feature the Acropolis where the Parthenon is?
Mildly appreciate level of self mockery in this one.

6yo got one for Christmas. Now insists on it being on every bedtime (the wax doesn’t even melt til he’s asleep!)

Might get outside tomorrow in my apartment yard with the Tracker tomorrow if the weather's nice. Got some big cacti out there, none of this desktop stuff.
