What the well-dressed synthesist is wearing...

Post by Lux A Turner » Sat Aug 08, 2020 5:37 am

Hopefully this is the correct forum...

I've just taken delivery of a really cool T-shirt from a guy called MewzeekT who sells synth-inspired gear on Etsy.

Very happy with the quality, service and speed of delivery (12 days to the UK using non-tracked delivery). Will definitely be returning for more at some point in the future. Many other, really nice designs in that shop :hyper:

PS - I have no affiliation with the business, other than as a satisfied, first-time customer.

Thanks for the recommendation Lux A Turner! Steveoath, I hear you about waistcoats. I like to get into a suit and bow tie for gigs when convenient.

A graphic t-shirt is never considered well dressed and a wardrobe comprised of them if you’re over twenty something is just sad.

Taking any interest whatsoever in what others wear is kind of sad too.

That statement is sad. Same thinking could be applied to paying attention to music others make. Obviously you’re not a visual person.

Cool tip.

Ordered a Dadara shirt myself recently, nice throwback to the Outland Records sleeves he did and am a fan of his style anyway.

Just tried my tweed waistcoat (usually reserved for wearing to weddings with my kilt) wasaaaaay too small. Quick trip to the vintage/thrift/charity shops is in my future!

It's not that tshirts are uncool on old people, it's that the size of our tummies distorts the tshirt and everything is fish-eyed.

Cool tees, tho

It could be. You're never too old for a cape...

I’m constantly wearing graphic tees (and I’m 45 years old), but believe it or not, there’s a reason! I work with kids. Do you think I’m going to work in a button down? Hell no. I need something that can easily rip, can get various bodily fluids on, and above all is comfy. Perhaps instead of immediately judging people based on what they wear, maybe try to understand why they wear it?

Edit: I too need a cape.
Gum is fun, but not on a cat.

Yikes! Giving fashion advice to forum dudes who collect synth modules is wasting everyone's time.

At this rate I'm expecting a follow-up with what qualities to look for in a fedora.

Anyhow, I'm 40 now and I still think this graphic t-shirt is fantastic.
