Re: Korg Arp 2600 Arrival Date
I have the 2600FS and Roland System 100m side by side in my studio. I must admit I used the 100m only once since the 2600 arrived. But Im pretty sure its only because the 2600 is new - and easy to get up and kicking with internal speakers, great sequencer for instant fun and no cables needed to get any sound. They are booth great beasts, sounds different and I can’t imagine get rid of any of them. Looking forward to use them booth side by side.thispoison wrote: ↑Wed Jul 29, 2020 10:06 amI was watching some Behringer System 100 videos just now and while I liked the sound, I've suddenly realised that the Korg Arp 2600 workflow has killed my GAS for the system 100 stone dead.

at a home studio, the smell dies down after a few days or a week or something. college smells are a different thing entirely.

Had mine over 3 months now - the smell is still there, it was never bad, but by now it's quite pleasant.
Sound and form factor wise, it's more than pleasant - it's wonderful.
Glad they are still arriving for folks.

Where have I seen you before?
Same place you saw me, I expect.

So, I picked up a 1601 clone and I have had a good time patching that into the mix. What a great sequencer.
I am thinking about packing up the Arp keyboard and putting my Sequential Pro 3 in front of the 2600. That should allow for some nice cross-patching.

Re: Korg Arp 2600 Arrival Date
Hey All,
Is there anyone in Canada still waiting for a "confirmed" order? My retailer was told they would get get a "guaranteed" one and I am on the top of (and only one on) their list. Obviously a pandemic and the distribution/ manufacturing? issues have slowed and delayed things but my contact at the retailer, who's amazing and is a great friend, keeps getting a shrug or non response from Korg Canada. I still have hope and patience but its starting to dwindle. If its not in the cards, then I'm getting a Prophet 6 and an RME Babyface FS/Fender EOB Stratocaster/Moog Grandmother instead. So any leads in the Great White North?
