Old Protools HD users , please help

Hello

I am trying to get back to a Protools HD system due to multi track recording purposes .
I had the system in the past and I was using on a MacPro computer.

However, I would like to use it now with a Mac Book from that generation which has Express24 slot .

I know that magma made some PCIe boxes for it , and I have no idea which one needed , and if HD system runs well with those boxes .

I remember that it was not supporting a box with Thunderbolt connection .

Is there anybody out there using an old Protools HD system on a MacBook Pro ?
