looking for a small mixer for the top of my live case

Post by cephalopod » Sun Jan 25, 2015 11:22 pm

Im looking for a small mixer to go on top of my doepfer monster base case.
The top of the case is very wide, and not very deep (see picture below). It's about 6.5 inches deep.
I'm having a hard time finding something that would fit on top of it, but still has a decent number of channels, at least one aux send, and has some stereo channels.

Right now I'm looking at this mixer:
It's close to what I'm looking for, but id strongly prefer to have a couple more channels.

Anyone know of a model that fits the bill?

Thanks in advance,
- Matt

The new Keith McMillen K-Mix looks intriguing and might fit your needs

Have you looked at 1U rackmount line mixers? There are a few choices. Samson, Rane, Alesis, probably others. I haven't used any of them so I can't give you any specific recommendations.

Maybe you could state the exact channel count you want? "A decent number" plus "that Bhrngr 6-channel could use some more channels" is not very precise information :hihi:

Also, budget? I'd personally try to stay away from The B as insistingly as possible... You'll just buy another mixer in a year or two when this one will be busted...

just get a huge analog console mixer, then put the eurorack on top of the mixer, instead of the other way around :tu:

no longer being made, but maybe this: http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/jul04/articles/soundcraftcompact.htm
you can expand the pics in the article

you can also get two of those Behringer mixers and hook them up together, which is what I do sometimes.
