Oops i guess it's a bit of a stiff question, i was wondering what would be the best set up with just four of these great panels??
Thinking what the pro's & not so pro, would be with just a four panel machine with these instruments, what to choose??

I picked 1347 because you get the real core serge circuitry that I’m so fond of. The flexibility and raw analog connection. The experimental nature of it, there’s always something to try out, very little is canned for you. That’s why I like working with serge.

1347 isn’t my dream system by any means but I think with those 4 you’d have years of patching to explore.
Now for the 5th panel.....

What do you want to accomplish with them? Do you have external sources you want to incorporate? Are you leaning toward paperface or later style Serge?

I like to get "outthere" with the rig and i do have externals but i'd like too just have a boundless instrument of just the 4 panels of the seven.
If that makes sense, limit myself to push my learnings.

I agree with revtor -- 1, 3, 4, 7 is my preference, as well.

I’d also advise getting maybe two and playing with them for a while, it would give you insight as to where you want to go. More sequencing, more audio processing, more core serge functionality etc etc...

With revtor, this would also be my picks.

Covers a lot of the Serge must haves and 3 DUSGs WITH slopes to boot is great.

I'm going to go with the consensus here and add that I would build the VC Slew on the COA 1 panel with a SSG board and drill a couple more holes for full SSG functionality. Gotta have SSG, especially in a 4 panel system.

Hard to say. Two ADSR's may be one too many.
