April fool spotted in advance ?
Finest EMS gear service and Music Easel/208 goodies

I'm not a synths dealer and I'm not aware of an inexpensive Synthi secret market, please don't ask me if I know one for sale.
I don't offer support of any kind to people attempting to build clones of EMS equipment.

I'd guess at around $15-20k, depends what you get. Last time I checked the Soup 1 was close to 6k on it's own (no power, no boat)... They are very nice panels but the competition has just got so much better in recent years. Cheaper and fully custom, sound just as good too.

Well that’s how I assume it is real. Only Rex is this full of shit. :tu:

Who is going to be the first person to call him and find out?
I would - but I don’t have 3 hours to waste! :hihi:
I'm sure he'll be heart broken that you didn't call. Since you are so sure it's real and all.

In an earlier post it was mentioned that the site isn’t Rex’s and that he wasn’t aware of it. I was suspicious when I saw that the pic of the “Animal” is actually a pic of the Soup Kitchen 1 and the pic of the Soup Kitchen 1 is actually a pic of the Soup Kitchen 2. It looks like whoever put it together knows very little about Serge Modular.

sigh... probably. troll-world. it's pathetic that someone feels the need to make a dubmbass site like this for shits n' giggles. Buy a fucking instrument and learn how to play it, make music. quit complaining about prices and all that.

i've had many forms of serge, and STS is worth every penny. that's all that matters.

100% agreed, it’s petty and gets old.

Maybe they designed the site to lure Rex in to adopting it? And by posting such ridiculous prices he might feel that he should?
Maybe it was some freshman’s web development 101 class project?

... and this is why EU law requires EU-websites to at least have an imprint with a name, phone number and address of the person or company behind the website...

It doesn't end fraud, but it seriously helps...

On the other hand, i would be glad if well made official sts site existed with demo videos on each panel

(for the whole youtube/vimeo life i dont remember if anyone was doing demo/review of, for example, SQP sequencer)

edit

i'm also disappointed that it's like.. no "news" from STS for several years now? I mean, Kraken was cancelled, right?
wow.. we're sky high.. that shark we just jumped over is tiny.. we're so high right now (c) found on gearslutz

Just came across this recently and was going to ask about it, nice to see someone else sorted it out.

Just for shits and giggles, I tested out the cart. It works up until you hit payment options, then it fails and tell you you have to contact them to complete the order, with no contact info available anywhere that I could find.

Looks like it's less of a scam, and more of a joke.

kraken looked so great—exactly my kind of programmer-sequencer, being into precise tempo modulation on macro and micro (‘step-length’) scale. still vaporware, i guess?
