Thanks for sharing these awesome patches and videos!

I have two questions:

Is it true that the top socket from the XFADE module can be wired to be a HEADPHONES OUTPUT?

I want to get those red banana jumpers for my R*S DUSG XL , they look like Pomonas . WHat is the right Product code or Mouser link for them?

Thanks again! :tu:

I just tried and yes it work ! You might want to be super carefull at the level tho as when you send cv to the gain it can go pretty damn hot.

I have no idea what it the mouser code for it sorry, I bought them from Samodular. Those things are life savers to use with the DUSG and SSG.

Glad you like the video !

The red ones are MDP-S-2. Or you can just search for Pomona shorting bar.

I sure do ! It does have all the component I wanted to try first from a Serge system. After a few months of use the only missing thing would be one or two attenuators but it is also fun to work within the limits of the system.

Next month I start teaching the use of modular synth for two weeks, this system will be the final boss of the course hahaha.

That sounds great.

And yes, in my experience the fullpanels always lack attenuators.
That is the curse of a small system. :D

I have purchased a mantra from Darrin at patchpoint so I will be joining you all here very shortly. I went for the XL boat so I added on another DUSG / cv pro and a vcm res / res eq.

Hopefully it will keep me happy for a long time, but I already feel the desire for some sort of Animate-esque functionality...

Also thanks for all the demos that have been posted. I visited patchpoint awhile back just to test the thing and I was amazed by the sound. Here is a super small snippet from that time. All mantra.

great patches-great panel.

what is your experience with the panel after using it for some time?
do you miss something on the panel?
also curious: did you experimented with mixing euro and the panel?

Hey there Johannes !

Well after almost a year of use it has became an essential part of my studio, I don't use it in every of my track but definitly more than half.

As I said on the previous post it miss attenuators but it also force to limit yourself a little bit wich I like. To anwser you last question at the same it I do happen to use attenuators from my Eurorack system if I really feel I need one.

I do use it with Euros from time to time but mostly on its own. I happened to use the Sequencer / Programmer to drive Eurorack system, or also to run my Dixie / Rubicon to the VCFQ for exemple.

thanks for your answer, Junglechrist.

sounds great :tu:

do you use it with special cables/adapters going from 4u to euro?
grounding needed?

and could you please elaborate on the sequencer. i saw that beside using it in a traditional way, you can use it like a keyboard and play the notes/values of corresponding steps. is there more (hidden functionality) on the sequencer that i miss?
i mean it´s a serge … can u use it as a osc ? :hihi:

peace

Yes I got a Low Gain electronics jumbler, it has a ground cable to hook up with the power supply so no worrie about that.

About the Sequencer, I was mostly using it with a case I have just next to the Serge because this one did not had any sequencer until recently.
Yes indeed you can use it like a keyboard as it send gate when you press a key.
If you clock it at audio rate you can take the outputs and draw waveshapes with the knobs wich is very fun (and sound better than with any other sequencers i've tried this technic). You can also play division by hand using the keys, it is a bit hard to explain but i'll try to make a video about it one of those day.

how clean is the sine output of the dsug xl on the mantra?
is it comparable to the sine on the rubicon - that i believe you have too?
