I've been using my Serge TKB with Bugs and it works just fine.
Yep I use a meng qi voltage memory with mine which is 0-5v so no worries from me there! Would certainly need to commit to saving for a long time to get one though....... the upcoming bug modules will probably tease me away from doing that for a while! I do see this as a sequencing workstation powerhouse type thing though without much need for supporting modules. I am in dire need of a clock divider before getting another sequencer that's for sure.

What power supply will it need to the inlet fonik? 9v/12v/15v? Dc/ac? What mA rating?

there is a small DC/DC converter on the TKB PCB. the one in the prototype uses 24V DC, because this is the same input voltage we use for the 4U boats with internal PSU. the idea is to use one power brick for several boats.
As a side note: I will do some experiments with a lower input and a wallwart (which would not provide an earth connection, though) to see how that pans out.
additionally there is the classic MTA156 header on the PCB to allow a classic Serge power scheme.
the TKB itself needs just 20mA on the positive rail and almost nothing on the negative.

Of course. The PCB accepts both 3.5mm and banana sockets.

Depends on how you define "5th gen". It is the classic TKB but with quite a few essential improvements.

Is there a list at all or do you anticipate these to be readily available once orders open?

No list yet.
Front panels are in already, and a first small batch of PCBs will be ready soon - then we go from there.

Can't wait for the TKB. Worth taking the time to get it right! (Also hope R*S elects to make it DIY-able)

Thank you for asking :D

One of our preferred customers got one for a field test and we wanted to iron out a few things. We have a small run that should be available in a few weeks or even earlier. The price will be in the 1500 + VAT ballpark, but this is just a guess.

:despair: no answer... ok then : What kind of improvement are we expecting from the new revision? any mod ( quantizer switch or something) ? optional playing mode?

Please let us know so that i can wait for it instead of getting one of those secondhand sts or other brand that are recently around

A first batch had some errors that we had to iron out. A new batch will be ordered.

Again, front panels and coated touch strips are in already.

If the R*S TKB is placed in the middle of a R*S XL BOAT , which 4x4 modules would you place at the sides ? 8-)

there´s space for one at each side. Would it be a SEQ8 and a Carnivore, two DUSG´s ? or something that R*S haven´t released yet in 4x4 format and that could be DIYed? what would it be?

My top 3 choices would be Quantizer, Dual Slope Generator(or carnivore) or the Pulse Divider/Logic

Divide and Compare is an awesome function block for sequencing, Carnivore would be a good choice for clocking/voltage processing as would and DUSG.

If DIYing and you already have clocks covered, I'd maybe have a look at the 8 channel Clee Quantiser.

+1 to both of those.

Divide and Compare is essential, IMHO, but then it's a toss-up between (Carnivore or DUSG) and the CLee Quantizer. If the R*S TKB has a limited quantizer included, then that might skew you toward some CV generators. Not an easy choice, here.

Damn, now how i wish to know which are 4x4 modules that R*S are planning next! :hmm:
