Squier Mod... Eric Clapton Crash-O-Caster

Post by Broadwave » Thu Jan 07, 2016 1:37 am

Still waiting for the Lacquer to finish my 12 string Tele - So to fill in some time, I'm modifying an old and battered Squier Standard Strat to EC's Crash 1

Day 1: Fill in the dents and knocks, sand and prime the body.

Day 2: Just a simple Airbrush job with Vallejo Premium Acrylics, Frog Tape and cling film. The Blue/Turquoise section is more accurate than the camera shows.

Day 3: (Today) Need to practice the red/yellow blend - I won't be spraying anything until I'm sure

No, not yet. This is the first time I've used an airbrush - the yellow to red blend has been a PITA to do

Just a bit more to do/tidy up (face graphic and white to yellow blend on the right) then I'm ready for lacquering fun time.

Finally finished the guitar. I never want to sand back and buff a lacquer finish ever again - Too much like hard work

Gorgeous
A modular synthesizer is not a musical instrument; it is a spiritual ham radio.

Eurorack is the sprinkles on the 5U donut.

That's very pretty you need to do some custom modular cases.

Ice King: Cooool. Whaddaya think, Finn? Can we pull back the veil of static and reach into the source of all being? Behind this curtain of patterns... this random pattern generator... So clever... right here in every home, watching us from a one-sided mirror...
