Round 5 shall flourish!

Edited 09/13/2012
Round 4 is shipped and round 5 interest begins. :ninja: Also, there is new pricing for the jacks at Mouser. The price went up.

Round 4 is in the works.

Edited 04/29/2012
Round 3 is on. Daddy needs some jacks. Jack information is below. These are 1/4" not 3.5mm.

I edited the thread title. Let's do an official round 2. I haven't had any complaints so I hope everyone is happy with my group buy service. I am always willing to take feedback.

We've had interest in about 500 jacks for a round 2. We need to get to 1000 for the best price.

Here is the jack information for any new folks. Each comes with finish washer and nut.

I'll handle this group buy through my new cart system, which is at a website I am setting up. Right now it just has a template cart in there. You'll be able to go in and select the amount you want and pay with paypal. It invoices it for me and makes tracking and printing shipping labels really easy. I also purchased a SSL certificate so all transactions are encrypted. The site is http://decayingsine.com/synthcart

I'd like to arrange a group buy for Switchcraft 502-112AX with solder lugs, mouser #502-112AX & manufacturer #112AX

Mouser Pricing

200: $1.48

I'd like to order by about 12/24/11. I'd take payment up front just before the purchase plus a little for shipping costs. Paypal or even checks or postal money order would be fine by me. If we do paypal, I'll add the small paypal fee. It'd be nice to avoid all the lame fees so if there is a better payment method, I am all for that.

I'll probably order 100 or 200 for myself, maybe more, depending on the finances at the time of the order.

If you don't need the switch in most of your jacks, Tedss still lists the Switchcraft 111 at $1.25 each in quantities over 100:

That is what I am hoping for. If wigglers don't push it to 1000, I'll cross post at E-M.

So we're looking at around 110$ plus shipping for 100. Count me in for 100! Don't forget that shipping is going to be a bunch, as these are heavy in these quantities.

Yikes! Kinda bad timing for me with the holidays and all. If it were another time (like end of Jan or maybe Feb?), I'd be in for 100.

This is a kind thing to do though. On behalf of all Wigglers everywhere...Thanks!

I prefer the ones listed w/the switch. I do lots of normalization.

100 for me.

If you are looking to get a thousand, you might want to contact them directly or get in touch with their local rep. Mouser is not the cheapest place for volume orders. Probably save you a few hundred $$

Nice idea. I'll request a quote for 1000.

edit* quote requested for buying direct from switchcraft. I also asked to see if they'd do an academic discount if I bought since I am university folk.

bummer, I just ordered from bridechamber like a month ago and it was $1.20 for the fake 112ax. I could have gotten the real thing for the same price.

That would be the polite term but probably not reflect reality.

I got a response from Switchcraft. It appears that there is no direct buying from them.

It looks like we're at 1000 already so that will give us a great price. Let's keep it open for a few more days and then we can start arranging payments and hash out the ordering plan. I'll contact mouser and see if there are additional discounts for even higher volumes.

Brian,

Thank you for your interest in Switchcraft products.

I want a few too, but I would prefer an EU groupbuy, as that probably saves on shipment cost.

I bought 100 Switchcraft jacks from someone in us earlier this year, shipment was around $15 iirc. So for me I do not think I'll save much if its an EU or US group buy.

Is the mouser price with or without VAT? Or do you have such a thing at all?

Also seems like mousers list price have gone up 30% since sunday?! Or is that localization playing me a prank?

I'm getting the same price for 1000 as last week. 1.10 USD.

The mouser price I have been talking about is without VAT.

I am happy to help find the cheapest shipping options to EU.

What about shipping to the EU with "sample electronic items" on the customs label? Does that help?

For 100 it would probably trigger the customs to do a check... and then charge the hell out of it. At least thats what they like to do.
