I notice some people are using 5% resistors.
Is it ok to use a 3.9k instead of the less common 3.8k for R21?
It appears to be in line with the output so I'm guessing it should be alright.
If it was related to 1v/oct tracking I would want to stick with the prescribed value.

Can you swap SD cards with the power on?
How often do you swap SD cards?
I'm deliberating over parallel mounting (with something extra on the panel)
vs.
a smaller panel with perpendicular mounting (with dremeled card-slot on panel).
I'm planning on building this one in Euro due to its native power requirements.
It doesn't require a ton of panel space for the controls,
but it is a fairly deep PCB if done perpendicular;
which limits its placement in cabinets designed mostly for skinny modules.

If 5% resistors are prescribed for R21, you could get away with one that measured 3.9k on a DMM. Just remember that if you use a 1% 3.9k that there will be some range in those as well (obviously). 3.90k will be about 2.6% different than 3.8k.

The SD Cards load wave data on powerup or reset-you can swap them with power on but will need to push the reset switch to load the new data.
Perpendicular mounting will require a support bracket-the insertion force of the card is pretty strong. A case like a Doepfer P6 should be fine to accommodate it.

Is there anyone who I can paypal $2 to stick a (1x) 3.8k resister in an envelope and mail it to me? If so, could you send me a PM? Thanks!
Cheers!

Planning another run early in the new year... thinking another run of 12 pcb / ic combinations, depending on demand.

Awesome! I think you could sell a lot more than 12, though. I'm in for at least 3, plus at least 5 euro panels if Clarke makes some..

Just use a standard 3.9k instead-it's within the 5% tolerance range plus the capacitor it forms a filter with is going to be 5% tolerance anyway, so no need to be too critical with the value

There's probably going to be way more interest than for 12 boards.
I for instance have just decided that I'd like two sets and not just one
Maybe you could have people officially sign up for their orders here in this thread to gauge the interest?
In any case thanks so much for doing this!

For the second run I paid around 60 for a preprogrammed chip and pcb.
