Looking for an affordable solid quality linear/low noise 5V PSU

hey guys,
trying to build a desk-/rackmount cheapo version of something like this

so what i need is a linear or low-low-noise switching 5V PSU that i can hook up to 1-2 usb ports. not that much power needed i think, 500mA to 1A should be fine?

i am sure some of you PSU hacks know some proven unit that doesn't break the bank and doesn't send me on another 10 day research journey?

also, man, i just realized this forum software can do a ton of different fonts

You will also need a 9v or 12v or 15v DC supply to power it. Maybe you have an old one in the closet ready to be recycled.
