These have started going out today, so fingers crossed people should start getting their panels and PCBs in the next couple of weeks. Huzzah!

Seeing as things have quietened down a little, this is probably a good time to close the thread to new orders, as I'm critically low on some stock and would like to fix the couple remaining issues on the PCB before the next run.

Also I'd like to see how smoothly (or otherwise!) things go with this first batch before I ramp things up any further, particularly with the postage/shipping side of things.

Sorry to put a random build question in the order thread, but as a banana virgin I wondered if there was a recommended type of banana socket I should be using.

Also, do you have any eta (and details) on your power module? I am not sure whether to knock up a quick wall wart supply on strip board or sort something more permanent out.

I did try search but it appears to be broken and google wasn't giving any joy.

Duff these are the type that Charlie LW suggested that I use:

Farnell: http://uk.farnell.com/johnson/108-0907- ... dp/2340491

Mouser: http://www.mouser.co.uk/ProductDetail/C ... 10nQ%3d%3d

(and I think you will find that they are mentioned in the 1011 documentation somewhere!)

Thank you.

(And so they are! I thought I had read through the docs at least twice before asking :deadbanana: )

Yes indeed! The Cinch/Johnson sockets are the ones, though you could probably make others fit easily enough as the Cinch sockets are relatively deep to begin with, though the holes might need a tiny bit of widening for some. They all connect via short flyover leads anyway, so anything that doesn't impinge on the 10mm board cutouts is fair game.

My power module is nothing special, it's actually quite similar to the L-1 supply, being an LD1084-based board with thermofuses on the input. Really any decent-quality 12-0-12V Eurorack-style supply should work fine. I'm not sure if I'll make my design available for purchase, just because I think there are already plenty of similar options available from others which do as good a job or better.

SlightlyNasty do you have a rough timeline on what modules you are going to release and when? I'm trying to gauge whether to hold out for the entire suite before ordering a giant BOM, or whether to order each BOM as it comes up.

Looks like I snoozed and lost - please consider me interested in a PCB set and anodised panel once you have more (possibly revised) stock available.

It's difficult to predict the timeline on things, just because this all has to fit in around my full-time job and other such life things.

I've got a rough idea of the order I'll be releasing things in - next up will be the Asymmetric Slew Limiter, followed by the Multiband Filter - because those modules together with the 1011 give you a useable monosynth voice. The Random Voltage Source will probably come next, followed by the Transfer Processor (VC distortion/wavefolder thing).

I just need to order revised prototype boards for the Asymmetric Slew Limiter and finish up the documentation. The filter needs very little work done to the actual circuit and is mostly documentation and maybe a redesign of the front panel, which I'm not 100% happy with aesthetically. The Random Voltage Source mostly needs a redesign of the noise core.

synchromesh and memorygardens - I'll let you know when I'm ready to start taking orders again, hopefully not too far in the future.

These arrived yesterday in the post here in Tokyo --- white panels look really great, fantastic quality. Now need to figure out what other 4U modules I need to go with these....

Mine arrived too and have to agree, those panels are very nice.
I'm looking for nothing at this moment in time

Another set received in the UK - everything about this project the PCBs, panels, and especially the instructions, are incredibly high quality. Great stuff!

I think the BOM is missing some of the 10K values. It states 28 in total but only 16 locations are listed.

It looks from the schematics that 203, 204, 205, 210, 211, 214, 215, 313, 317, 319, 409 are all 10K and that would make 27 in total. If there is another one I can't seem to spot it.

Any chance of an interest thread for a Eurorack version of this?

I can only find 27 10k resistors in the schematic too.

By the way, another set safely received in the UK. I was feeling left out yesterday but fortunately that didn't last long.

Count me in for 2 x PCBs and white panels when orders open up again!

Unless I have gone wrong somewhere it looks like R404 is the only resistor shaped gap once I stuff the above and this is a 12K according to the schematics.

Got mine in Chicago...i have a potentially stupid question about swapping parts: I misplaced all my 1n1418s but I have a ton of 1n4007s, could i use those instead? Or bad idea? I don't want to order a dollars worth of diodes and wait a week but I will (learning patience) 8-)

Hm, I'll have to look into what's happened here when I get home. I suspect the spreadsheet cell got resized accidentally and hid a bunch of the values.

The other errors are presumably just stuff-ups on my part.

I'm not sure on that one. My gut says "probably", but without testing it's difficult to say for sure.

Thanks for responding ...actually i scrounged some 1n1418s up so I won't do it

Fixed BOM and manual are here, turns out it's just a bug in LibreOffice's PDF export, where it's not sizing some cells correctly. I also put R404 in the right place:

Model 1011 Oscillator BOM v1.0 Rev B

Model 1011 Oscillator Manual v1.0 Rev B

(Manual is identical apart from the BOM page).
