Post by jjclark » Tue Oct 29, 2013 10:11 pm

something new is coming from Cylonix/intellijel.

Currently in beta test, details will be coming shortly. In the meantime here is a teaser video (all sounds generated by a single shapeshifter module)

No, the sequencing is partly from a metropolis and partly just noodling on a keyboard. Turn on HD for a (slightly) better version.

impressive powers of observation!

I can make out folding, shaping, wavebanks, morphing- all sounds very intriguing.

black knob upper left says "preset" above it.. so perhaps can save internal routings or macro patches?

user customizable wavetables for morphing and folding? vocoder sounds suggests it can maybe process and pitchshift incoming signals? :help:

ok it's been 60 minutes. can we have the full details now please?

...and what features will be on the expander? :hihi:

edit: this is a dig at the mentality that crops up on Muffs of expecting more than what is offered etc :bananaguitar:

it sounds good/interesting.. sort of evolution of the cyclebox in some ways. i'm curious/interested/eyebrow is raised/smile is cracked

though there are a lot of FM + wavetable things that exist already. . my guess is the vocoder stuff is the tip of the iceberg here (hopeful)... perhaps the DSP can be repurposed to process external audio in various ways.. resonator? comb filter? vocoder????

if it's "cyclebox + MOAR" then it'll have to have some grunt under hood to make all that happen right? i know nada about code/dsp requirements etc.. so.. i'm just stoking the fire here :)

I remembered the good professor mentioning this quite some time back:
jjclark wrote:Yes, the Cyclebox has an accelerometer built in :-)
it doesn't do anything, however. My next module will use it...
I wonder if it's this module.
