R-56 reverb

Post by metasonix » Thu Oct 24, 2013 12:38 am

Image

Just starting to build them.

No, they are not on our website yet. Sorry.

No, we don't have sample sounds yet. Sorry. If you are really desperate to hear it, come to the Robotspeak demo day this Saturday afternoon. We plan to show one in a demo system, and also deliver a couple of finished pieces to Robotspeak for sale.

The R-56 is 28HP wide and needs 300 mA from +-12v. The panel is an engraved plain-anodized aluminum one with black infill.

Limited issue, was planning to do 50 pieces.

More soon.

Tube reverb? I can't even fathom... need to hear an example before I know what level of excitement is appropriate.

Nice...:cloud:

I probably don't have the HP and money for it but for those who do, what's the module depth and price ?

And yeah, it definitely looks like the reverb tank on the top of the module... :sb:

Yes, the tank is on the front panel. The cover is removable. It goes about 1.5" behind the panel and 1.5" in front. There are RCA jacks on the rear, so you can use an external spring tank, or operate it in parallel with the internal tank. Aiming for a suggested retail of $499 US.

Two questions:

1. Is the noise floor still the same from the last audio demo that was posted or has it been improved at all?

2. (Directed at anyone) I've been researching building my own plate reverb, is it possible to connect that via RCA instead of a regular spring tank?

There are going to be 50 lucky people. :tu: A little sad to see the yellow gone, though.

Price? I'm looking to sell my z8k. This will replace the empty space perfectly.

Oooooh. It's probably for the best that I almost certainly won't be able to get ahold of one.

Very interested in this, will definitely try to get it once it's released. Will it be possible to secure an order in advance?

Crap, really wish I could make it to that robotspeak meeting but I have to work that day. Very curious to hear this because reverb became my top priority this week.
