Great list thanks!!!

Can I add a feature request? Maybe let's add also where they are all based. Smaller case makers might not have worldwide distribution and I think most people in one part of the world (eg. EU) don't want to buy a case from overseas since it's going to be expensive for the shipping and import duties.

MDLR CASE

Post by AJFourier » Sun Apr 24, 2016 9:07 am

Hello everybody,

First of all thanks to @Bark for adding my shop to this post!

My name is Arjan and i’m the owner of MDLRCASE.
https://www.mdlrcase.com is a new manufacturer of handmade high quality eurorackcases situated in the Netherlands.

At the moment i’m offering 4 different cases (3U,6U,9U and 12U) in three colors/materials (birchwood, black and yellow) which will be available in 2 HP sizes 84HP and 114HP (we do custom HP width on request). The cases are CNC cut for great precision and are all build and assembled by myself. The coloured cases (Classic Black and Funky Yellow) are fabricated from flightcase material HPL (birchwood with a high pressure laminate coating).

For our cases we offer two options:

Standard case
Case: birchwood or birchwood with colored HPL
Rails: 84HP or 114HP rails with M3 threaded inserts
Powerswitch with fuse
Powercord 1.8 meter
Rubber antislip feet

Plug and play case
Case: birchwood or birchwood with colored HPL
Rails: 84HP or 114HP rails with 8x M3 threaded inserts
Powerswitch with fuse
Powercord 1.8 meter
Rubber antislip feet
busboards,
Power supplies (amount depending on U size)
Completely assembled and wired

All high quality cases are offered at very attractive prices.

Also parts for building your own case are available in the webshop, think about rails, busboards, PSU etc.

At the moment i’m busy designing transportable cases which will be available soon.

Feel free to ask any question, send me an email to arjan@mdlrcase.com

Hey, just peeping around to see where my products pop up and found this thread... I even noticed that my company was mentioned in a post, but I'm not on the list above..... Web site needs some work, and I'm mainly selling through retailers until I get my webstore organized properly
, so if you are in the USA look at AH, if you are in Canada, look at Moog Audio or Saved by Technology, if you are in Europe, Alex4 is distributing so I'm not certain which stores my cases and rails are being carried in there.....

Anyhoo... www.artfortheears.com Add me to the list, pretty please :)

That's what I ended up with...though I still question my decision of going 84 hp in terms of usability. It is well built.
I'm now looking at alternatives to the Roland- 84hp but with the ability to close and travel with it. First world problems etc..

Woo hoo for those of us in Europe (UK to be specific) but just found this:

https://www.gmsn.co.uk/collections/eurorack-cases

It comes with the options of 84 or 104 both powered or unpowered

I wish the eurorack "craze" was enough to support all case manufactures full time. The wait time is a killer on some of these cases...as is their pricing.

Then again, I wish i was a good enough carpenter/electrician to build my own.

You can't buy emtpy dreadbox case atm. These cases come only as a pre-built systems so it should not be in the list.

Are you sure? This shop listing seems to suggest otherwise:

Thanks for the list. I'm eyeing off the Amalgamod 12U case, anyone have any thoughts on it?

Cheers!

Has 4ms discontinued their Modular Rows? The page is now under the "Legacy" heading in their menu. http://www.4mspedals.com/mr-overview.php

I've picked up a few used and they work well, but if they are discontinued I will want to find another means of expansion.

I love the look of the MDLR cases. It’s a great balance of industrial edge and classic styling. And that yellow! :nana:
