looks awesome - have always said that they should make one of these, as it’d be nice to have more Maths envs, but when i had two whole Maths it felt like overkill, as i have loads of other mixers/ inverters etc.., and am unlikely to want to use its more esoteric functions on both modules simultaneously.

i wonder whether this was rushed out to compete with the Doepfer!

gonna be a tough decision between them now. i reckon i might get one of each, although i think i actually prefer the design of the doepfer, as it has the 1v/oct and you can have different curves on the rise and fall. they both look good though, and either would be a better choice (for me) than the Quadra/ Expander that was originally gonna get - MAN, i’d have been pissed off now if i had gone down that route! (really didn’t need FOUR more envelopes, and was never very keen on the expander due to the mini-pots)

i wonder how the sample-hold/ T+H works.....the panel doesn’t give much away! that’s not much of a selling point for me though, as i have that covered elsewhere (wogglebug, a156)

TOO many new things that all look good - nothing ground-breaking, but lots of nice new solid-looking designs that will prompt me to upgrade i reckon (the ADDAC quantizer, z4000, WMD Multimode ADSR, a171-2, this one..)

good times!

it certainly makes sense to me. The ease at creating expo envelopes is the MATHS only unique function and the only thing I miss about it. I have the rest of the stuff it can do in several other modules. This is exactly the bit I need.

i.e. I don't want to buy a swiss army knife just to have a corkscrew

Wonder if any other products are hidden on their site. The function doesn't have a side tab with the rest of the products.

So stoked about this.... I have a quadra so was really eyeing the new doepfer for a full featured slew. This could fit the bill. Just wish MN would use panel mounted pots. That doepfer may still win out despite not having the extra features, just for bombproofiness.

Yum! Looks ace :spin:

Possible competition for a CGS775 kit I've been thinking about getting... hmmm... maybe I'll just get both!

Panel mount does not always equal bomb proof. Not one of my pcb mounted knobs has ever given me trouble. Personally I like the feel. But I guess that's why there's something for everyone!

I;ve had a couple panel mount knobbers die. :( This thing looks sweet... as I have a Maths though I'll prob still roll with the Doepfer option as the 1/vlt oct thingy is nice.

I wonder how much the corresponding attenuverter which would be there on a maths will be missed? Easy enough to add alongside but 2xFunction + attenuverter is as wide as Maths?

Wonder also how much of SSG functions will be covered by the S&H / T&H functions?

I think I´ll be getting one... never had a Maths and this looks more apealing to me, as I do not need all the fuctions that a Maths has.

Tough competition for the Doepfer A-171-2!

I've got to say, I kinda wish he'd offer these with the panel mirror imaged. That way a pair of these flanking either side of a Maths would look killer as a quad slope/mixing/cv funhouse!

In an ideal world I'd see Makenoise team up with Intellijel, because these panels just get fuglier... while Intellijel's get cleaner (e.g. uVCA II)
