Unkle SQR ----> Envelator not usually work???

Post by Kendall Station » Fri Jan 06, 2012 7:54 am

I've two unkles, and two envelators. for some reason the Unkle Square out won't trigger the envelator in AD or Cycle mode. Works fine in AR mode. Sawtooth out DOES trigger AD mode.

Ive tried with both Unkles and both Envelators. Is something wrong or is this just the way it is?

PS - CLK out form NR also works.

Thanks!

The rise part of the unkle sqr duty cycle doesn't look like it gets quite high enough for my envelators AD - saw is doing the deal though.

any comparator with standard unipolar 10V output will translate this trigger threshold issue.

AFAIK, envelators cannot be retriggered in cycle mode.

They retrigger in cycle mode, yes they do :).

The reason this all seems odd to me is that I believe the envelator's gate input threshold is about 2v, which should be nabbed by the sqr out.

I had a similar observation when i had my uncle trying to trigger my maths...I would use something else to boost the signal a bit, but it was kind of a nuisance.

I'm sure it has something to do with your PSU in some way.
