Another Cell 48 example:
At the moment this is my modular drummachine. The 2 left-most modules (the Ladik ones) barely fit. I have an old revision with more depth (the new ones are shallower), but I could still make it work!
The Mutable Branches is great for random drum triggers (open / closed hihat), alternating BD / SD triggers etc.
Also, Peaks does some neat tricks here (random triggers, mod sequencing...)
The Ladik S-180 / S-182 sequencer combo packs a lot of functions that are of great value here (triggers, CV, different play modes..)

I only had time to play around with it a little since I put the sysytem together, so no recordings yet. But I hope to come up with something soon. Maybe I record some quick noodles on instagram, I believe you are already following me there (@jogginghouse).
Edit:
I see your post is gone, so my answer really doesn't make sense now. But anyways ...

Heard this in use, and can confirm it sounded rad! Hilariously I recognized this order of modules + the cardboard enclosure the second I saw it in this pic, bc I snuck a peek after the performance on Friday to see what tooth was using to make that drone... glad my brain is retaining this sort of super valuable info, hahaRecycleYourPets wrote:Pulled a few of my modules from my larger system to make a mini one for my friend to perform with earlier tonight. The combo really worked out well for him!
also thanks for the case inspiration MylarMelodies

Sometimes think about getting a Zissou and taking stuff out of my 7U to make something like this:

About as deep a portable sound design wormhole as I could imagine.

geremyf -- Don't be too put off by the manuals. I actually find them perfectly legible, but that's another story. These modules beg for experimentation, and you'll be amazed at the incredibly wide palette of sounds that'll come out of those four modules. Some of the best in all of euro, if you ask me. If I were stranded on a desert island, I'd probably bring the Mannequins modules with me.

Im actually looking at downsizing now even though I don't have that large of a setup, simply because I feel larger racks is just too overwhelming, with too many options. The limitations of smaller systems like this works much better for me. When I was first getting modules and only had a few, I was much more creative with what I had.ghostly606 wrote:As a fresh faced wiggler with only 2 modules this thread is great inspiration!
Just my 2 cents, but I love this thread, and am definitely doing to be downsizing.

Thinking about a "playing in the woods" system kinda like this. Add an SQ-1 and this is pretty powerful..

The blank will either be a diy mult or diy 3x vca.. or something else. I guess if I used the 3x vca I could take out the two vca tiles and put a mixer down there.

This is what I ended up going with. In a nanuk 910 case
