Now that I've tried both:

The Sifam "Intellijel style" plastic knobs work great. Due to available stock, I have Small Tall on the D-shaft pots and Small (but not tall) on the Dry/Wet knob. It works out pretty well.

Befaco micro knobs: no! ୧༼ಠ益ಠ༽୨ There's not much grip, the extremely small radius means less leverage, and a couple of them were pretty difficult to remove.

would some lexicon hall-like algorithm with a long and smooth fall be possible?

The reverb algo’s almost all have a ‘tone’ control, which seems to be post-reverb, at least for the ones I have checked. Are there also reverbs where the tone control is in the feedback loop? So that e.g. highs get cut progressively more and more? Like the ‘damping’ control in some of the reverbs, but one that would allow damping of the lows too, instead of just the highs?

LoFi Junky will be uploaded next week, sorry for the delay.
Reverb Hall programs already based on the Lexicon ideas, so should be close to them.
Most of the reverb Tone control is exactly in the reverb itself and high or low frequencies progressively cut as the reverb decays. It is pretty obvious and I wonder why you noticed the opposite.
Also if the Tone is set to cut lows – high frequencies are a littlie bit damped too to reflect the real spaces where it is unavoidable.

Don't be silly, I'm sorry for bugging you about it!
If you weren't so good at what you do, I wouldn't be so damn excited by it :hihi:

Nice one!

Any chance of an algorithm simulating the Fairfield Circuitry Shallow Water? Can achieve a similar effect using multiple stacked subtle vibratos in my Zoom multistomp, but I would really like a Eurorack version.

Shallow Water looks similar to LoFi Junky with different modulation (smoothed random).
I would need it in my hands to make a close replica effect.
At first you can use the upcoming Junky program: if Rate is set to zero, then external CV can modulate the Range control for custom modulation shapes.

I noticed it on the shimmer verbs. Will try on some others. Thanks for the info.

I picked one of these up a few weeks ago, and I will just add to the chorus - this module is just amazing. It completely lives up to the hype of tons of power in a tiny package.

I also love the ability to change and group which effects are available on the module. The update procedure is so straightforward.

I'm guessing from the range of the effects that are available that there is very programmable audio engine inside this thing. Has there been any discussion of making open-source effects that could be contributed to the library? I don't know what programming scheme is behind this thing, but I'm a quick study, and I would love to be able to make some homebrew effects.

Here's an overview of Programming the Spin FV-1 Chip but I'm not sure how easy it is right now to get your own programs onto that firmware file the website generates.

It would be great if if it possible to load customised algorithms onto this module(s)

Spin programs are basically text files, and it's not hard to import them into the app. I have an oil can delay on mine that I grabbed from a website.

How did you import the text file into the app?

Aww yeah! I've got one of those, but have to swap it in/out of the rack when I'm in the mood. But the 4HP FX aid I just got is slim enough to stay in there all the time.

I just saw the 'Reverb Spooky'. Is that based on anything?
If there is, or will be, an Empress Ghost Reverb algo... :hail: :yay: :guinness: :sb:

Not deliberately based on anything. This reverb gives interesting tones on long decay times which can be used for special effects.

Thanks - this is great to know.

The Spin FV-1 language is a very funny one, but at least it reads logical.

Haha wow I totally missed that. Really opens things up knowing we can add custom FX. I know there are some pretty active Spin communities that must have some good algos floating around.
