Nothing is muted of course. Stereo in is stereo. Left input is copied to the right if right is uplugged for central panned mono as it should be. Please check again with different cables and pm me if the problem is not solved.
FYi - this was a me issue, not an FX Aid issue. Audio interface weird behavior (also it's crap).

Super excellently designed module.

Here's some .spn effects to try.

https://mstratman.github.io/fv1-programs/

I loaded up the "greenwood-delay" and "random loop delay" on my FX AID. Nice glitchy random sounds. A little click-y though.

I received my FX AID a couple days ago! Yay! Installed it into the rack, and went through a few presets, everything connected and working fine. Powered up the rack this morning, initiated the same set up (I use an ES-8), went to try out some more effects and now the left output channel is not working. Unplugged any inputs to the module, and plugged the left channel in again, and it is sending a signal out, but no effects, just a super low frequency, but high output humm or buzz (inaudible, but visible in ableton). Not sure what to do. The right channel outputs fine, I can hear the effects coming through but nothing out of the left. Any suggestions?

I made an upside down FX Aid panel for myself and I have a few extras. If anyone else should want one they're $15 shipped in the US. They're made of FR4 and I should also note they have a tiny production number printed on them (which is common for prototype PCBs). Shoot me an email at scttcmpbll [at] gmail [dot] com

I was thinking of doing the same, however with my own graphics. Are you willing to share the cad files?

If not, all g. I'll do my own measurements.

You can always ask me for the panel files - it will save a lot of work on custom panels.

Hi igorrr,
I'm just wondering your thoughts on a Strymon Flint type of effect. I realize it would have to be pretty simplified.
I thought maybe one knob could be speed of tremolo (with sine wave as lfo shape), one could be depth of tremolo, and the other could be reverb amount... pretty simple, but would still be useful. I often play samples of vibraphone, guitars, etc which beg for a bit of tremolo and reverb. I realize patching tremolo with a vca and sine wave is pretty straight forward, but I still thought it would be very useful to have the trem/verb combo effect.
Obviously, you wouldn't be able to alter the brightness of the reverb or anything, but you seem to have a great ear for verb, so I'd trust whatever you thought sounded best.
Anyway, it was just a thought. Let me know what you think : )

Also, just a tremolo by itself could be nice too. Knobs could be depth, speed, and lfo shape.

It would fit nicely in the 3U to 1U adapter.

I have it in that now actually, but a panel would look a lot nicer. ;)

You can check those effects via stand alone editor:
https://mstratman.github.io/fv1-program ... em_rev.spn
https://mstratman.github.io/fv1-program ... O_TREM.spn

They are mono, so I will add stereo version a bit later.

I've mostly used old school spring reverbs, which have there own set of pros and cons. So now I'm getting up to speed on the FX Aid algorithms, trying to achieve relatively subtle natural sounding spatial effects. An issue I'm having is that the reverb tails sound mostly like grainy noise rather than the source material. That's just my impression, not necessarily fact. It's less distracting when turned down low.

There's still some plate and reverb algos I haven't tried. So far the best from the default algos is either Reverb Room Stereo or Reverb Hall Medium, with about 10 to 15% wet. Both are decent. I think "Room" was smoother but noisier. Any pointers?

I'm trying to use the Windows version of the FX AID Editor v0.3.1. I'm able to load the factory bank, but clicking on 'program library' I just get a blank page. Shouldn't this download the current library of FX?

It is your custom effects library. Pressing that add "+" sign will allow you to chose third party spin files. Many of them have been uploaded some posts above in this thread.

Those reverbs have the shortest decay time: already mentioned by you "Reverb Hall Medium", "Reverb Room Stereo" plus "Reverb Hall Chorus 2", "Reverb Metallic", "Reverb Plate Stereo", "Reverb Spooky".

Reverb tastes differ. You can try the following effects with different diffusion profiles:
"Delay Magneto" - Delay Time at lower than mid position creates kind of reverb, so it is present in BigSky as a reverb effect.
"Reverb EMT250" - has medium constant density tail, so diffusion is not increased with time, not very good for percussive sources.
"Reverb Freeverb" - has dense constant density tail, so diffusion is not increased with time, but due to high diffusion can be used for percussive sources. Many sound engineers like and use it in vst form.
"Reverb Gate", "Reverb Gate Time" - both can be set to cut the reverb tail, so you can only perceive the reverb while the source is playing.
"Reverb Reverse" - not immediate candidate for ambience reverb due to its "Reverse" name. But it has a "Slope" control, which if set to max position creates reflections pattern suited for the job.
"Reverb Space Station" - can be used too, if "Decay Time" and "Taps Spacing" are close to min.
"Reverb Vocal" - has variable "Diffusion" control to be tuned to the desired amount.

So what about all the other FX that you've produced? All I'm seeing when running both the standalone program and the app are the 32 that ship with the module.
