Planning a video: what do you want to hear?

Post by Sherbrick » Wed Jul 31, 2019 7:12 pm

I'm looking to start from a "less is more" perspective and wring as much as possible out of a few modules and connections. So far I find this causes me to stumble in to new ideas way quicker than if I try to plug all the wires in at once with some predetermined idea in mind (probably obvious to most of you, but hey! I'm getting there)

As such, I think I'd like to pick one sound generating module, and build up the CV in layers until I get something totally groovin from just that one module.

Vote, if you'd like!
-Akemie's Castle
-DPO
-BIA
-Squid Salmple
-Morphagene (but if I do this, I will hafta put some mostly-static drums with it!)

Also if there are any particular approaches with these that you're curious about and haven't had the chance to hear or experiment with yourself, let me know and I may be able to give it a shot.

I would love to hear some more of the BIA.
I'm very interested in the module, but not yet convinced from what i've heard so far...

Slick! DPO first then!

Envelopes. I think it can do an entire groove with clocked/sequenced S&H and envelopes (and especially with some of those headed to a filter).

Good Idea. Looking forward to this. Do BIA next if you plan to do a few of these.

Sorry for the delay; I've been working out a bunch of generative rhythm and CV ideas that I think are helpful in highlighting the timbre output of a module. I am going to do DPO, BIA, Akemie's, and Shapeshifter sketches.
