I'm in Boston and was hoping to get this for a session this weekend ... but just realized that while I thought I was ordering this from Control in Brooklyn, NY I *actually* ordered it from Control Voltage in Portland, OR. :despair:

Spread the wealth, I guess!

Me too! #57. Unfortunately I'm in the middle of tearing my apartment to pieces, so my modular is tucked away temporarily. Hopefully I can plug it in tonight. I did play it in the store the other day, and was VERY happy.

#46! I hope everyone who pre ordered gets theirs by the weekend.
I managed to get it racked up towards the end of last night and had a fiddle about for a bit and I am very happy indeed.

Has anyone gotten theirs or had theirs ship from Perfect Circuit yet?

Quick follow-up: Control Voltage were awesome with me and helped expedite this so I could maybe still get this by the weekend. Happy accidents!

Not yet. Was definitely an early pre-order, put it in before they sent the email announcing. If MN shipped early this week 'll bet they get their shipment today or Monday and it'll take maybe 3-5 business days for it to get where it goes, be surprised (though pleasantly!) if I have it before next weekend.

Seems like maybe DM or Control is the place to pre-order from in the future!

For sure... I just got mine this morning and was mostly unimpressed until I realized I had the input channel set to mono in my DAW  It was like that moment in The Wizard of Oz where the movie switches from black & white to color.

I'm really not a filter junkie and I was kind of doubting whether getting QPAS was the right move for me... but after playing with it a bit I kept finding all these amazing sweet spots with it.

Control has always been really good with preorders in my experience. I've given up on Perfect Circuit preorders a couple of times now in frustration and I basically only buy stuff from them if it's in stock and on sale.

I got mine yesterday and holy moly do I love this thing already. Such a fantastic filter for experimentation. I’ve barely scratched the surface and I think it might already be my favorite filter. Putting the vca first was a great design idea. I’m loving the ability to ping it and let it ring out. I’ve paired it with my Rainmaker and it seems like a match made in heaven.

Is it that similar /better than the Twinpeak?
Interested to compare this to the Klangbau - particularly ping wise!
For my purposes, they cover similar territory. A side by side is definitely warranted at some point to get into the details.
As owner of klangbau twin peak and a qpas now, I can say for sure that qpas is not better for ping sounds than twin peak. Qpas is nice for this no doubt, but Twin peak pings are much bolder/thicker sounding and the internal envelope followers give you so much control of the shape of the pings, round to sharp sounds.

Having both klangbau tp versions plus r*s vcfq I think qpas will be used for stereo filtering more the being used as a ping voice for me.

To me the Twinpeak wins for "traditional" pinging but the QPAS has a lot of... alternative pinging, I guess.

The QPAS is not all sweet spots -- I don't much like sweeping its LP or BP with moderate to high Q with most material -- but the sweet spots it has are astonishing. There's a lot to explore and discover with it.

I've had QPAS since Friday. There's some overlap with Three Sisters but I'll be keeping both, they sound quite different to me. Similar to the comment about the Twinpeak filter, I also feel that Three Sisters is better at pinging, though you don't get the same linked stereo fun.

Below is a short clip heavily modulating QPAS with Marbles. There's a Verbos Multi Delay in there too. I think QPAS has provided the most consistent fun of any module I've owned so far.

Received mine today. Shout out to Control for that Valentines Day sale. This filter is simply incredible. Been sitting here for hours just jamming with it. Here's a simple sequence with some modulation on the Radiate inputs from Zadar.

Mine is pre-ordered but I think us european still have to wait a little. Can't wait to try it out for sure.
I don't remeber who said it reminded him of the Fenix filter, but it is true I watched a lot Fenix related content recently and there is this vocal / liquid quality to it that is reminicent of it.

Hello all, I figured best to share my demo here rather than start a new thread.

"So here's "the ultimate guide to QPAS" ... a mega tutorial, uber overview or any other silly name you'd like to title this with. Silliness aside, the QPAS has been great offering a lot of stereo filter tones with the quad filter cores and simple controls for a wide range of animation. The tone of the filter is hard to pin down as Tony of Make Noise designed the core (rather than cloning an old one) for the filter and the option to saturate the input VCA stage provides further tonal options. I hope this video is useful for currently QPAS owners, potential QPAS owners but more importantly I hope the video serves to demonstrate techniques and provide ideas for any modules you own. I always try to make these useful for those with or without the module.
