Sounds nice, I wonder what the divider knobs are about. Sub harmonics maybe?

Gotta be the number of folds. And is that a rectifier knob? Excited!

sounds great! strongly reminds me of the random source wave multipliers.

The knob at the top is labeled "fold" and has 'x6' on the right, so it could be related but seems to be labeled differently.

You guys think buzzy sine waves sound 'great'? :despair:

I wonder if this is another Serge-middle variant. The saw to sine transfer looks familiar. Looking forward to more info on the divisions too.

:hihi: I suspect people are liking the sound mostly due to Halls Of Valhalla room reverb.

Ha! The moment the reverb was added, I caught myself thinking, what a nice wavefolder that is. Then I woke up.

Still an interesting module, though.

That's what I was thinking. It sounds too subtle in the demo to be a Serge Wave Multiplier soundalike, and it looks like it has a Saw to Sine shaper.

If you patch a saw to a Serge Middle style wavefolder, at a certain amplitude you will get something sine-like.

At the same amplitude with sine or triangle as input, you will get the more familiar top and bottom folding action.

Seems cool, I am all for more wavefolders, even those that pervert sines ;-)

Reminds me of a smaller version of: https://www.modulargrid.net/e/blind-mon ... multiplier

Seriously, fuck demos with effects added. It's borderline false advertising. Random*Source also does this in all his videos and it's bullshit.

That said, this one is better:

I mean, it is listed in the description
Testing the new Fold Processor module from Tiptop Audio.
Saw from Z3000 into the Fold, Inject is modulated by Math. Running through Z2040 - mostly fully open.
First dry, then with Z-DSP Halls Of Valhalla room reverb.
I think this is a very good way to do a demo, show it raw, show it how a lot of people will use it.

NOW it's starting to sound like a proper wavefolder! I'd like to hear the subdiv-out as well! The "Inject"-control seems to do something my A-137-1 doesn't really do, even though it's very versatile. Kind of seems like the "symmetry"-control, but not really, as I didn't see an offset in the scope like there is with the "symmetry" on the A-137-1...

Are you sure its not just a bias control? That is pretty common on wavefolders.

I would love to see the settings they used if that is true as I have the ZDSP and card and would love to play around with that setting it sounded so clean and alive..

* edit also do we know what the waveform is that's being fed into it exactly..?

Yep it sounded awesome - actually the point at which just a small of reverb was added was the sweet spot for me.

Reminds me the DPO wavefolder at points.

I do really like that it appears to have full attenuverters on at least the Fold and Inject CV. And the ability to mix in subharmonics seems like it can make for a tremendous sound. Might replace my Ultrafold.

Despite my negativity about demo effects above, it's always exciting to see new wavefolders.
