SSF Entity

Post by geremyf » Wed Aug 03, 2016 10:51 am

New from instagram this morning...SSF's take on a chained multi-filter...resonant EQ? Will it have vactrols?

https://www.instagram.com/p/BIoB-MHh0RA/

Discuss!

EDIT: Removed the (??) from title.

Surprised more folks are not interested in this...seems like it could be very cool.

Oh I am interested, I just didn't have anything to post other than "sounds good, looking forward to the details".

But now that I'm posting, I'm curious to the overlap (or not) of Aperture, since that's the highest on my list for new filters at the moment.

Using Aperture a lot lately, and it sounds very much like this demo--so there's at least some some overlap. SSF is not going to copy Aperture, though.

Yeah, I think it will probably be more similar to Korgasmatron or uHC. I think there might be a small chance that it's SSF's take on a compact resonant EQ, which would be exceptionally cool too.

It does do filtering but is not quite a filter. 8-)

I'll give a free module to whoever guesses the primary function. :sb:

Has to be before I post anymore videos - dont want to make i too easy. :goldfish:

one guess per person!

It is a combined VCA / lo-mid-high pass filter / waveshaper / LPG. WITH VACTROLS FOR FLAVOR.

Now this is something to get excited about. My guess is: a resonator.

My guess: this is your Eurorack adaptation of the Korg P3100's triple resonator, vactrols and all (if you say the MAM RS3, it's the same thing, but with Haible's imprimatur ;))

My guess is that it's a new eurorack module.

Sounds nice! My guess is a combo of vactrol AD envelope with a VCF and a VCA :nana:

Sounds like it could be a complete voice module, oscillator, envelope and filter with built in VCA?
