Thanks so much for thinking of us poor bastards with old low-power Doepfer cases and including the 5v option. I've wanted an O'Tool since I first discovered eurorack, but never figured they were feasible due to my power constraints.

That said, I'm a bit late to the show here. Is there an ETA on the second run yet? I notice a couple of stores are already selling preorders.

Wow. I didn't think I could love my small rack this much. This little module is so great. Oh so that's what the smooth cv from the Lorenz attractor looks like! Everything just makes more sense now...mixing cv with umod? Easy peasy. System sounds better now that all osc are in tune and not railing everything too!

Really liking the O'tool+, so useful being able to fine tune oscillators and see what wave shapers are doing, etc. in such a small package. :yay:

So dumb question: Should I be doing something to prevent screen burn-in or anything? If I leave it in the same mode for hours will there be issues? I've pretty much left it in layered scope mode, but the thought occurred to me that maybe the gridlines would get burned-in?

I think probably not but I figured I'd ask to make sure.

Good question. Wondered that myself. I appreciate that the Intellijel Rainmaker puts the display in sleep mode if untouched for a while.

Dave Jones can answer definitively (he has the spec sheet for the LCD and I don't) but in general LCDs do not have
burn-in problems (unlike plasma and CRT). So, I usually don't worry about it.

Actually now that I think about it, the rainmaker uses an OLED screen, not an LCD.

Looks like Boutique Pedal NYC might still have them in stock:

They have an "Add to Cart" button live as opposed to "Pre-Order"

Mine arrived last week but only just had time to put it thru it's paces.
'Bars' veiw is wicked for time aligning LFO ramps before plumbing up. Kinda like a visual cue.
The screen is stunning, very pretty.
It's a great bunch of tools in a very small package & build quality is top notch.
Someone mentioned Video Out, that would be awesome!!!

Nope. It's a TFT LCD and won't burn in. You can leave it in any mode as long as you want.

Many dealers have sold out, but some dealers still have a few left.

We've started the second run, which will be a much larger run. But it's going to take a few months to get those built.

I got my O'Tool + today, ordered from David at Postmodular.

Such a superb module; I missed out on the V1, so having this updated version is so great. What strikes me most is how elegant the UI is - it's super-easy to navigate and use.

I've put it next to a utility amp module so that I can pipe in signals from my Buchla system too. My only wish is that I could scale the O'Tool for use with a Buchla without the need for an extra amp module, but it's not a big deal at all.

Great piece of kit. :tu:

Just got mine from Boutique Pedals/Tokio yesterday! Loving it already!

The screen looks great. It's small and yet everything is super clear. It makes attenuating for certain ranges so much easier being able to see the waveform.

Another +1 for video out (I know it's not going to happen here) but if anyone is reading that fancies making one I am definitely interested :)

This happened to me exactly. Not a great business model, to oversell your shipping order.

Control has some available, at least as of earlier this afternoon. The home page lists it as a pre-order item, but the product page itself shows it in-stock.
