I'd like to add that I would pay to have the faceplate stickers printed and shipped with modules if some enterprising shop wants to offer that service.

A-110-3, 110-4 and 6. Was there a 5? Can't find anything about that.

Love to put these 3 together! Can't wait to find out the release dates

Doepfer's making all these fancy colored panels... This is sure to upset the Grayscale Clan.

Don't poke the bear, Dieter

So far we have received only the black panels for the first batch of the vintage style modules (
A-110-1
A-110-2
A-112
A-114
A-118
A-120
A-132-3
A-138a
A-140
A-147-2
A-148
A-180-2
A-190-3).

But if there are sufficient inquiries we will offer the black panels and vintage style knobs as spare parts.

There are also plans to offer more modules with black panels (e.g. the sequencer series A-154/A-155/A-156).

It s a good move from Doepfer to start changing color faceplates … The Wasp special edition and the A110 -4 SE might have sold like hot cakes !!!! who doesn t like a cool looking module in the rack ???

I'm sure he'll keep making "boring" panels for his modules, this is probably a litmus test to see if he can sell the same modules to a different type of customer (i.e. those with a burning desire to use capitalism as a vehicle for expressing their anti-establishment sentiments).

The black ones look pretty good... cool knobs too.

Actually, everyone missed something that was written in the description of the modules, with regards to the very colourful panels (referred to as 'custom version'):

"The custom version is only a design study made with a self adhesive foil printed by a color laser printer. There are no plans to offer this version of the module. But we plan to offer suitable templates for download. That way the customer is able to design "his" personal module by printig his design on an self adhesive foil and stick the foil to the module (for this the module has to be dismantled). Knobs in different colors are also available (please refer to the price list, section A-100 accessories)"

Mr Doepfer, your intentions have been misunderstood... :sadbanana:

Edit: Ah, PolarIceCaves mentioned it earlier.

After having a few hours to think about this... I would love to have a whole black faceplate setup. Physiologically, I feel closer to the sound, but can't help wondering if Doepfer would lose its brand identity amongst other black faceplates of other makers.

The grey faceplate is highly recognisable and stands out amongst all other manufacturers even at distance.

Again, much love for the black faceplate :nana:

As I was falling asleep last night I was thinking about whether Doepfer would ever stray from the silver/grey theme. I thought of the Wasp & Quad Thru Zero special editions and wondered if they would just choose solid colors for everything.
