Make Noise Modules - Supplemental Documentation

Post by Reason101 » Wed Oct 14, 2015 12:14 pm

I am trying to put together some supplemental documentation for the Make Noise Modules. This isn't meant to replace their manuals. This is to provide simple "cheat sheets" that outline the modules.

I'm a technical writer by day, so this is somewhat second nature to me. I also prefer to see a concise description of the module along with the diagram of the module, all on a single page. So that's the thought here.

Tony has given me his "ok" to do it. And I'm happy to share it with you. As a side note, if you're a developer, and you want me to put something like this together for your modules, let's talk. Will work for modules. :tu:

Notes: 1. The PDFs are high quality print format so you can print it out yourself. 2. The font size is newspaper (7pt.) - This is a compromise so that I can fit the most information on a page.

Any other feedback is always welcome. Cheers!

Nice. I wish all modules (not just Make Noise) had a one-sheet reference that's as clearly written as these!

Thanks for this :sb: :sb:

Will you be doing one for Function or could I use the MATHS one?(channels 1&4)

Also don't forget to indicate where hand moisturizer is needed when you get to Rene.

This is a great idea.

I have drawn a couple process flow diagrams to help me understand modules better. It would be nice if you could get these from the manufacturers too.

You could probably use Maths for most of Function. I don't think it's exactly the same though. If I get around to it, I will. This is one of those "if time permits" kind of thing. So I'll do what I can.

To everyone else, thanks so much for your kind words and support. It is very much appreciated.

Reason101, thanks so much – beautiful cheatsheets!

I just have noticed a small mistake, Maths Channel 3 offset range is +/-5V, not +/-10V
