So I am using an Octatrack to sequence my modular, but it has no clock input, so I can't add a little bit of spice by clocking it with a wogglebug or such. Can I do it the other way around - take the pulses spat out by the Octatrack and combine them in some sort of logic module with the wogglebug? Would that create a random effect? Something like the intellijel plog might do it, right? Or another module? Or am I barking up the wrong tree entirely?
defintely. Use AND logic so that the clock pulses from the octotrack fire on when a random pulse from wogglebug fires. You might need to experiment with gate lengths to avoid doubled triggers and such, but then again, that might be useful as well...
Good idea. I do this with the machinedrum and its trigger outputs. The internal LFOs have sample and hold that can be applied to the volume of the trigger, which causes missed triggers. Sometimes a comparator helps with this.dj_bluefalcon wrote:Does OT allow you to modulate internal LFOs by other internal LFOs?
E.g. Slewed random output of LFOa modulating rate of LFOb?
