I have a Modbase. Very happy and now I need that Modbase... Could imagine having two of each one day... So much power!

I end up very often with the same sound, very mettalic sound... need a more organic sound. I have to spend more time with it tho. Maybe couple the module with a filter...

How do you use your Mod.Brane 11? What 's best friend's module? :)

dont use the metal noize. I felt it always sounded crap  If you leave that out I think it almost automatically sounds super-organic. add some cv, a nice filter, there you go

It's been a while but there are a few intentionally digital modulators on these... I think it is the LFO's that have selectable forms. They are there for metallic stuff. When I had my Mbrane II I just never used that part. That sound just isn't for me. But the rest... the membranes and noise etc. ARE amazing. My future hope of a drum modular unit would include both or even 2 of each Jomox modules. If business goes well over time it's just what I'll do.

I'd be interested to know if this TouchOSC editor works on the Mbrane Module. I designed it for the Mbrane II. I'm hoping the midi assignments were carried through to the module even though it was said to have been redesigned.

This editor brought out so much for me in the Mbrane. It is fee if you want it and especially I'd love to hear about if it works on the module version. PM me your email and I'll send the template.

This demo explores the unit thoroughly (even the parts I don't normally use for my own sounds).

I let go a few modules to get into a Mod.Brane 11 and really love it.

My editor for the MBrane 11 did work quite well for the Mod.Brane 11 but had 5 or so new major assignments to change. But also, I had to rearrange things and make room to allow selecting all the new waves for LFO as well as add controls for LFO 2 and Bitmask.

This is now fully functional as of today and I'll do a demo video soon. It's an OSC Template for iPad and other tablets may work if that APP is available. PM me your email address and I'll send the template for free.

As with the MBrane 11 editor, this seriously opens up the module and makes it far easier to explore the sonic possibilities.

And you can sculpt a sound and save it. Love that.

There are a few things not reachable by midi such as CV assignements and others but this still covers the majority of parameters.

Video soon to come!

iPad app: TouchOSC with my custom template.

I've had the Mod.Brane11 since it came out and the editing of sounds is probably the biggest turn-off of the module. But there are some really good sounds inside there and the module is really quite powerful.

As for this editor, what does it run on? Looks sweet, I want.

It is very inexpensive app "TouchOSC".

The MBrane 11 also was like you describe. Great sound but hard to really sculpt and create patches.

I didn't realize much of the brilliance of design until these editors helped me really dive deep into all the elements.

Is there an emulator that can host one of those on a windows machine? (thinking no...)

Would love to have an editor for the module. Are the parameters all CC'ed? (eg. no sysex crap?)?

Guess I should read the manuals more...

They are CC's. I just mapped and set ranges for the CC's in the manual to the faders/buttons/touchpads.

I don't know if that is on windows though but I think it's on android and you maybe could get a pretty cheap android tablet.

hmm I think it's easy to go to LFO mode and edit it. Jomox made it easy.
After some time it's really handy.

I don't use it too much with Kick module. Only with percussion. This duo is a must have

This program looks good tho! :) Will try it!

You are right, it is a bit nicer with a few shortcuts and the dedicated knobs compared to the MBrane 11. Still just so much to the sound building that I've found editing to take a while. Definitely try the editor... it really makes exploring tone fast. It even got me liking the metal noise part at times, which I never much liked before. That bit mask can be fun to slide around hunting for space invaders.

That editor looks very nice, Infrablue! I so nice in fact that I feel it's sole purpose of existence is simply to make me regret selling my Mod.Brane 11! :hihi:

Actually that OSC editor might come in handy for the ModBase 09!

If there is an Android App, you should be able to emulate it on a Windows machine. Bluestacks and Genymotion are the two I am familiar with. PM me if you need help/want to talk more about this.

Very cool. I did look it up and they have an Android version. Not positive if a template made for the iOS version will work exactly with Android but it's possible for sure.

I'd sure like to but don't have that module.

I do want to send this video to Jomox and offer to make one for the Modbase if they could send one along, but I know that's a tall order.
