and the fact there is preset functionality in the new modules. drool!

but yeah on-topic.

dual strike inputs & generation/de-generation.. density/length controls? i wonder what the architecture is? im not up on waveguide synthesis -but its very much delay lines & stuff?

i think wave guides use reverb where as karplus-strong uses delay

I heard he hooks up a lethal wireless version of the teleplexer to your special place and "controls your voltage" if you start to talk.

demos of the prototype have been around for a while

https://soundcloud.com/make-noise/sets/ ... ry-module/

in that first video the design is the same as the pictures from namm. wonder what they have been working on since that video was made.

I can't wait to put weird shit through that feedback loop, degeneration or regeneration, I wonder how many waveguides I'll need, maybe two!

He even describes it here, sounds fantastic in the 1st clip, pretty
NIN-sy in the second (processing a drum loop).

no, a wave guide uses delays and filters just as KS does. it builds upon the same principles.

It sounds absolutely amazing and insane at the same time. Mixing it with the Erbe Verb is even better. I got some really good video of it that will be edited and posted to the Perfect Circuit Audio blog/Youtube on Monday.

Tony didn't say anything about zapping my balls with a Teleplexer so I think I'm good. :tu:

Hello all,

Thanks for your interest in the new Mysteron. It really is for real, 98% done. Tony wants me to improve the spread of values around the Expo knob, and I will be trying to coerce him to put more lightening bolts in the graphics! :goo:

I'd like to describe a few broad points, since Mysteron is now out in the wild.

As numan7 noted, the module uses the Truckminus-Weak variation of Karplus-Strong for synthesis. :hihi: I think of it as a waveguide. Thats kind of a broad term to me, like "filter".

This module is a friend to LFOs, gates, and triggers. It won't do audio rate FM. But it will do a bunch of cool modulations at LFO rates. The Mutation control is multidimensional, Gain control affects impulse into the waveguides, not simply VCA. There are two waveguides, each with a trigger input, sharing a single 1v/oct cv input, and combined in a single output.

It feeds a fat signal to subwoofers, even from a clean primary pitch three or four octaves higher. I can't wait to hear it thru the Erbe-Verb!

:nana: :nana: :nana:

Gotta suit up and go out in sub-zero to shovel snow, good thing cheap Canadian booze is plentiful around here. Will return later and try to respond to questions/comments.
