I've been using the 9771-15 for maybe a year now. I had been bugging Scott about the limited power headers on the 9770 Wing PS and the need to not pay $125 for the Blacet PS. Unit works like a charm although I would suggest adding headers so you can move modules from rack to rack and mix Blacet, MOTM and other Frac modules to the PSU. Only downside is it does take up a single module space, unlike the Wing PS or the PS500.
I am using a mix of PAiA & Blacet modules with the 9771-15. I also ran the 9771-15 to my 9700S rack and disconnected the MIDI8CV power to the rest of the modules. It really cleaned things up and stabilized the VCO better and made the VCA quieter.
I did modify a 9770-15R wing PS with 2200uf/35V caps and a more powerful transformert from Mouser. I recently bought a Frac rack with the 9720 & 9730 using a beefed up 9770-15R. Plenty of juice to go around if you don't have a real populated rack. Although I suppose you could use the PSCONN to expand.
I will most likely drive additional racks with these supplies.

scott just shot me this info on the new psu which is basically the same as what youve said but lends a hand to any folks out there wanting to order it
The 9771-15 has lots more current available for each supply (about 500mA) and 12 vs 6 power connection areas.
When I know a 9770R-15 is going into an FR-7 system, then I like to let it be known the 9771-15 is the way to go, and if the order is made for the 9770R-15 and a FR-PWP with an "order comment" included, specifying the substitution, I send the 9771-15. This is a temporary work-around for the 9771 not being on the site yet. Note too the 9771 is a single FR space and not the FR-PWP mount -- it takes one of the ten spaces across the front of the FR-7.
