Well said. Came to say something similar. +1

Terrible news. Condolences to the family. Mike most certainly had a major positive impact on the modular community, which I and many others benefited immensely and I salute him for it.

I only had the pleasure of meeting Mike once, in 2014.

This was a guy who, upon seeing what kind of car I pulled up in, proceeded to start a passionate and animated conversation on the merits of it. Whereas a lot of times that can descend into a dick measuring contest, Mike wasn't like that. He was genuine, eagerly enthusiastic person who praised rather than put down.

We went inside the restaurant, had dinner, had drinks, and spent a couple of hours just talking.

We've only ever chatted verbally on the phone or online before and since that time, and I'm going to miss him.

He made it possible, made it inevitable in fact, that there was going to be a community around fucked up little noise boxes.

Goodbye, Mike.

for quite a while this is my got to place in the internet when i want to relax and read something related to my main interest. after i quit fb i was really happy that this forum existed, i had somewhere reasonable to go in a web mosty filled with crap, frustrated people or companys wanting to empty my pockets.

may the force be with you on your last journey.
