These really do look rather amazing. I'm really curious about the Braids in particular. I like the term "macro oscillator" a lot

Tremendous idea. :zombie:

Just wondered if anyone had any experience with one. Seems like it's really great.

I did find what appears to be a 5u variant, but I'm really interested in two things: "Ultrasonic" and Eurorack format.

FWIW This video is AWESOME.

Randomly today, I remembered seeing this page several months ago, and went back to see what it was. Does anyone know anything about this thing? It seems like it is THE PROVERBIAL SHIT.

Seconded! Both of these can be seriously great noisemakers. I use Max/MSP too, but PD is just as capable, in most ways, at least for someone just starting out.

I like Soundhack too, but it isn't really real-time.

I like sending Eurorack into Max/MSP for noise. But I'm also enjoying using a microphone, a trumpet, and my voice to make noise. The microphone works in the same way as a microscope... there are tons of little alien bugs swimming around in pond water, just as there are tons of huge, terrifying, comp...

Definitely going to be giving some of these suggestions a go when I get the right euro interface modules. Really digging the possibilities of the ES stuff.

Also, the wifi connectivity on the ADDAC VCC is really appealing. Has anyone worked with that yet?

Re: Frac vs. Euro pricing

I prefer the consistent sizes of Frac (and 5U) compared to Euro. It may sound stupid, but it would really bug me to find I had an odd spaced gap in a euro rack. I prefer black panels to silver. Thanks for pointing this out, I can't believe I hadn't noticed this before. Also, thanks for all the advi...

Re: Frac vs. Euro pricing

I prefer the ergonomics of Frac. Is it the spacing, or layouts of the panels, or something different entirely? Would you mind explaining a little more precisely what ergonomic differences you're referencing? Thanks! Furthermore my I think my Frac system looks like a musical instrument while I think...

I have to agree about the g0. As much as it boggles my brain and gives me a massive Gearection, that one module costs as much as I paid for my first car. Regardless of how badly I want one, I just don't know I could go for that. In any case, Mungo, please keep up the amazing work. I love love love y...

Frac vs. Euro pricing

It seems like Frac pricing is consistently quite lower than Euro. What are the reasons for this? I haven't worked with Frac much yet (just once, actually), wanting to get an understanding of the differences. Seems there's quite a bit more to the Euro world in terms of variety and functional depth, b...

Man, those Grendels sound great! Hope I can get my hands on one (or two, really) of my own in the near future. How do you like the Trogo 277? Their stuff was one of my reasons for getting into modular, but I was talked out of buying anything by them at the last minute. The 277 seems really great - t...

This is excellent news. I've wanted a Z-DSP since I got started in Euro, but they've been out of stock since before last Sept. and rarely come up used. I'll be keeping an eye out.

Mm Einsturzende Neubauten... ish

Thanks for bringing this track to my attention and reminding me how much I love this kind of post-industrial nightmare march. I think it comes from my childhood of action films from the late 80s. This takes me to Terminator, immediately.

And I love it.

Mr. Wiggles, please tell me I'm wrong about that. I haven't seen them available for a very long time, and someone told me at some point that they were discontinued.

Is your ninja implying that I have been mislead? Or that there's a hush-hush top secret black ops project to revitalize it?

Which is worse, badass hidden features you probably won't find unless you read the manual (is the input/preamp situation even in the manual?), or the fact that Tiptop stopped making the Zdsp?

This is a great comparison demo. The waves of sounds are very different in nature, I don't think the filter identities are obfuscated at all by the DSP processes. Really a diverse sounding patch. And really quite beautiful, IMHO. I always like to see videos of people interfacing their Euros and Max,...
