I really like crazy delays so I at least want to try the Echophon. Anyway, Maths is my next module and I'll go from there. Cheers! Roger that. You won’t be disappointed in Maths. It took me a long time to unlock a lot of features and really wrap my head around it. I think it is easily the best util...

I've seen a few cases in this thread with both the Dpo AND the STO, how are y'all using those together? I don't have the STO yet with DPO, but I would use it as an additional voice or would use it to build 3 oscillator subtractive style basses/leads. Do people think that Maths is enough envelopes /...

FWIW, I am trying to do a mostly make noise CV Bus case and I came up with the following: https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/userpix2/573_bd7701819df4426cbdc19adeff3d6777_1.jpg I’m not much of a Tempi guy (never say never though). I’ve also had a Mysteron, Telharmonic, Echophon and Erbe-Verb and didn...

Looks like a really cool and interesting idea. I thought it was going to be Wavetable-esque, but this seems very different.

Any news on these modules??? The filter seems REALLY intriguing to me. I really want a solid stereo filter and this seems like a great candidate.

I was gonna take the plunge but they are now sold out. Still hesitant though without hearing one demo.

Where's your power use with the digital modules in this MG setup? I love my MN CV Bus case with my B&G SS, but if I were going to put together a system from scratch in one of these I would likely swap out the bus board for a TPS-80. It's a very good question. I dunno because I get the case tomorrow...

Love the rack. If you are looking for something to complement the Mother 32 and STO analog goodness and are searching for more interesting timbres, I might look into a wavetable oscillator. Suggestions might be a Intellijel Shapeshifter or Synthesis Technology E352. Those cost a lot of real estate i...

Just a heads up for anyone receiving a CV Bus case from the latest batch; the hinge design has changed and I initially though that the lid was not removable any more. All the photos that I had seen of the case showed a hook-off style hinge, like the ones used on the Elite Modular cases, but the new...

Interesting! The VCO board (img_3840) looks like a genuine third version Moog VCO board. The PSU (img_3850) looks almost like a Moog one too, except the heatsinks, but there's too much fibre glass above the top mounting holes so that hasn't come out of a Minimoog. The midi/CPU board (img_3846) is s...

Question Regarding My Studio Electronics MiniMidi

Hey all, This is not 5U per se, but the reason I am asking here is because many of you know your stuff when it comes to PCBs, etc. Almost 20 years ago, I bought a Studio Electronics MidiMini from a guy. Years later, I read that Studio Electronics took Model D's for people and racked them (and put in...

1) How much have you spent on your Euro-Rack to date ($k) I don't know and I don't wanna know. North of $15k is an easy bet (2) Are you still happy you made the decision to get into modular? Yes and no. It has not made me a better song writer. I thought I would harvest a lot more sounds from my modu...

The fact is that I bought this case to build a system that is planned to remain the same for a long time... . I....don't understand. You mean, you put your modules in and they stay in the same place for an extended period of time?????? That doesn't register with me. :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:  Kidd...

On the choices there is a scale and also a bias/offset, what would peopl pair with a Planar for this, i like the idea of quad joystick but going to need the attenuation and offset to do the patches i've gotten used to now. I feel like most of the parameters I am sending the CV of Planar out to have...

Honestly I can't see why everybody seem to find that sliding nuts are "such a pain in the ***" It just took me a couple of minutes to set those nuts for each of my module, it's not that hard :despair: I understand your take on it. But, what happens when you fill up your rack and then you take out o...

Gah. Really scratching my head here on what to get. I am leaning towards the Make Noise case. First, I am kind of a MN fanboy and I have been drooling over these cases since the Shared Systems came out. Something about that CV bus in the middle really gets me. The big issues are obviously the slidin...

If you are looking for more of an oscillator approach, I would highly recommend: 1) Synthesis Technology E352 2) Piston Honda MKIII I'd probably recommend the E352 though as it has more features under the hood that are REALLY easy to access. The only thing is wavetable can be harsh depending on what...

Got mine on Friday. I was backer #161. First impressions were as I was expected. It is a great module. If you know how to use the E352, then you know how to use this. It is essentially an E352 times 4 (obviously). If you havent tried an E352, fear not, it is pretty easy to wrap your head around. The...

In the process of scaling back heavily. I too have not used Euro much in my music but really enjoy noodling. There is nothing wrong with noodling as a hobby. You don't NEED to make music. For me though, I spun out of control filling up about 15U 168hp. It got too much for me. Now, I am scaling back....
