I'm fine as my money is going to an AJH Gemini filter and an AJH Phaser.

Dot Com Vs.

Hey All, I have a Mos-Lab system and am looking to expand a tiny bit. I was wondering how the Dot Com stuff is for the modules below in comparison to other manufacturers (Mos-Lab, Moon, etc.). LFO - I am assuming since it is just a module being used for CV it is not a big deal (unless you use the LF...

I would personally skip an Echophon or Erbe Verbe initially. This is of course you not minding getting a delay pedal and/or reverb pedal. I personally think you should dedicate the small rack to creating your source material. Don't get me wrong, the Echophon and Erbe Verb offer something in the dela...

I live near Control in Brooklyn, NY so I will buy stuff there. If the staff helps me with a module and demos it for me, I will almost certainly buy from them (if I like the module) since they took the time out to help me. To me, it's worth paying Sales Tax. Plus, I like supporting a brick-and-mortar...

Modular Grid is great but I wouldn't put too much stock in their numbers. Too many hypothetical racks created. I, myself, have about 6-8 racks on there and really only have two racks at home. I use it to sketch out ideas for rack configuration before actually moving modules around. As far as Shared ...

The oscillator section of the 0-Coast is special. The STO and DPO don't quite do the same things (although final output of DPO gets close). Contour and Dynamix help get close to being able to compile your own 0-Coast. I think the deep bass I get from the 0-Coast comes from a nice balance between the...

I am first going to respond to your other post. 1) As said, I don't think there is a cost effective way to replicate the Perfourmer in modular. I think it would be too expensive. If you want to achieve a certain tone that the Perfourmer does not offer, then that is a different story, but to have fou...

My personal opinion: 1) When Paul announced that it was a "one off" production run for the KS pledgers, that was kinda cool. You get to purchase a truly unique and rare item. Cool. 2) Because of its success and demand, Paul changes his mind and creates more to sell to KS pledgers and Euro retailers....

I am not sure about number of voices. I am guessing 2-3 if possible. By voices, I am assuming you mean the number of different sequencer outputs that can be assigned to various functions (pitch, filter cutoff value, etc.).

Thank you so much again for your valuable input. Putting my engineer hat on for a second... I'm not sure exactly what it is that you want it to do that other sequencers don't do? Is it just that it has sliders, or that it has both a quantized and unquantized outputs? I feel like there are about a th...

Thanks so much for your input guys. I REALLY appreciate your time to comment. I had a feeling this was going to be a LOT more involved and time consuming than I thought. It also could get quite expensive. As someone who understands business at least, I completely agree that to pay engineers and prog...

BTW, the Koma Komplex Sequencer is pretty cool but WAY too involved for me. It is also pretty darn expensive. I am not saying it is not an expensive piece to make, but this is probably something that is out of budget for most people. Am I wrong? Is development of a module like what I described: A) l...

What are the features that you would want to include? - Single voice or multiple? How many? - CV and Gate? YES - Additional CVs for velocity, glide, accent etc? MAYBE Probably - Maximum number of steps? 16-64 Probably would do 16 sliders but have the sequence wrap. Computer can control the number of...

Well, the idea would be to come up with a prototype. I would love to market it to the modular community if it got enough steam. Maybe a kickstarter campaign like Paul from Synthesis Technology that did a kickstarter for the quad-morphing terrarium module. However, I do understand that Paul is alread...

Developing Your Own Modules - Need Help

I have a question. I have some ideas regarding modules. I have ZERO technical skills and ZERO programming (software) skills. All I have is a few ideas. Well....one, specifically. I have used a ton of different sequencers over the years. I have really enjoyed the Arp Sequencer, Make Noise Rene, Intel...

I would say 0-Coast. That thing is a beast and does A Lot!!!! Very different from subtractive synthesis sounds. 0-Coast can do great bass, leads, percussive sounds, effects, drones, etc. very powerful. For a long time, I thought, "I have a big Eurorack system, I basically have all the components to ...

They are $400 new. If you have 2 are you aware of the expanders coming out for the afg? Personally I'm dying to try one, it's probably the last of the "classics" I haven't tried yet.... I personally wouldn't be paying more than $300 - there is no difference between the old and restocked version. 1:...

Thanks guys.

Yeah, it's not just the octave control. They just take up a bunch of room in the rack and I don't find I go to them that much. I think I would find other gear more useful.

I threw them up on the BST area. Is $425 too much to ask?

ONE MORE THING, can you sell these above the original $400 price tag if they are in great condition or is that dick? I see people were asking anywhere from $450 to ...
