Since they are easily buyable in EU via newgroove.it I merely see this as an opportunity for all you US people. Make it happen! whoopsie did they just add more to their portfolio? i remember being on that site a while ago and not finding what i need... either way, i guess i am off the group buy... ...

That's an amazingly powerful little device. I just wish they'd make it just a tiny bit bigger so all pins were breadboard friendly and avoid the surface mount pads underneath. Yeah i'm kinda bummed there is no .5 version from the get go or at least some info if there will be a version at some point...

AKG did
is that why the bx series was so popular? what about diy-ing one? or just modifying the pickup?

arturia keystep... Those keybeds are flimsy to all hell. I had one from ebay (paid like $2.50) and it fell apart just from being moved around in the workshop. Had to toss it. -KM surely not a fatar but out of about 5-6 different mini-key-controllers i had over the years (korg, akai, etc) the sturdi...

Wow! That is a great chip for adding CV inputs to a digital module or synth. i did some first attempts at 1v/oct tuning last night and it was pretty straight forward. have a 11300 controlled doepfer a110 running nicely in tune with perfect-pitch midi controlled VA oscillators. same should go for in...

maybe also look into the max11300 chip? 20x SPI-configurable CV I/O, 12bit only but +/-5v or 0-10v and convenient libraries available for all platforms. well, arduino/teensy and axoloti that i know of but i'm sure there's something for RPi too. for 25$ with this dev board you can avoid a lot of extr...

Does anyone know if the full black versions are available for purchase? It's probably not what most folks are after but I'd love to have a couple for myself. from what i understood from my fatar plug they basically make whatever you want. each run is more or less produced on demand, that's why diff...

I can still recommend looking into the MAX11300 chip for any MCU platform. 20x CV i/o, flexibly configurable to -5/+5 or 0/+5v or 0/+10v via SPI. 12bit only though. and there's convenient libraries for arduino etc.

Please help me add CV to FMR Really Nice Levelling Amp RNLA

So i reached out to FMR trying to find out if there's a chance to hack my infamous RNLA so it accepts remote CV signals. They were extremely friendly and helpful and confirmed that all the frontpanel pots besides the threshold act as voltage dividers for the control circuit so it should be quite eas...

ohhh thats very helpful, thanks!!

regarding thonk alpha pots and the thonk jacks, they seem to be 1mm off though (9 vs 10). one could put a washer between the smaller part and the frontplate i gguess. i'll investigate the not-panel-mount-pots that ersatzplanet and this thonk image sugggests..

General eurorack PCB/frontplate design questions

hey guys, i am thinking about making some proper pcbs for my currently chaos-wired eurorack prototype. it's basically a shield for an axoloti board and the max11300 chip, on the frontplate i want 20x 3.5mm jacks, 4 pots, a small OLED, the axoloti outlets and some buttons. here's a picture of the cur...

Hey i am also in the market for a DSO, and i was looking at the cheaper 500 EUR ish siglent/rigol 1104 series. Several PSU voltages in one big DIY project

So i am building this hybrid digital/analog keyboard synth. Digital Synthesis, a couple analog effects afterwards. some from the guitar/pedal world, some eurorack. Looking at my current prototype setup i need: 3.3v for several MCUs and LEDs 5v for some specific shields (trying to avoid these still) ...

you have to be very careful if you wanna shorten a fatar from the bottom end, the aftertouch strip connectors and possibly some other stuff run through there.
