I bought two Metasonix devices from FatRocky, with a few years in between, including a recent TM unit, and they were both shipped from Peru to Sweden, excellently packed and working perfectly. My guess is that US customs did that damage, perhaps searching for drugs. Maybe one should be a bit more ca...

Great news! Even though my 2xDRM1 are already expanded, I want to chime in and just say that the expander add so much functionality! It transforms the DRM1 to a complex patchable monosynth with several waveforms, 4 decay envelopes, and fantastic modulation possibilities!

Do not miss out on this!

Oh..... very similar to my starting frame back in the days. Except this one has 2 oscs instead of 3, and instead a wavefiledr. Must be from around the same time. I still have all of it, but of course now spread out in the larger system. In case you're interested, I did a series of "demo" videos with...

Very nice video (and audio)! Great little machine on its own, and still able to be part of a larger system.

I love the fact that youtube followed it up (on autoplay) with another demo of yours, from 2011 :)

Having been away and missed this thread, I just want to say I'd love to play with this. Noiserings are heavily used in my system, and this seems to be a new take, with a different feedback paths, etc.
Looking forward, Tom!

I could chime in, since I am a matrix junkie and I have the other prototype of this green wonder. There is something special with a pure matrix, allowing any routing combination, not presupposing anything about how it should be used. That is great for feedback experiments, additive CV stuff, complex...

I'd say you can have a large number of normal (non-Metasonix) modules on the PSU3. It can power a big system. So you should be fine with the configuration you suggest. As you can se in my earlier post a few steps up, even a Synthrotek Deluxe Power (a small panel power module with an external switchi...

Hi FA - Indeed, the PSU3 can run more than 3. In my system (see below), I use a PSU2 for the lower row, a PSU3 for the middle row (4 modules), and the standard PSU for the Doepfer 1-frame for the top row. Also, the PSU3 provides 5V to all of them. https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/userpix2/4799_p112...

Old thread maybe, but I just want to chime in with some positive experiences. Me and my collegue bought this (MUC-800, tabletop version) a couple of years ago, and it's a dream. Quick menu system, lots of options. Fantastic configurability, and eminent polyphonic CV handling. Best MIDI-to-CV convert...

I have the D-1000, and love it. I really lusted for the D-2000, too, but in the end I went for a modular solution, getting a selection of R modules that together - including two R54 (which are supposedly similar to the oscillators in D-1000/2000) and one RK1 (the noise voice). All in all this standa...

Nice! My plan is to get two of those too, but I will build them with bananas and put them in my banana-euro Metasonix system (which is just next to the Bug). I've tried to order them a bunch of times, but the black panel is always out of stock. I may give up on that... Seems to be a great module! /P...

Hey Tom have you ever thought about making some sort of combination stereo mastering console? Gain/EQ/Compressor re-routable/patchable?
He already did:

I sometimes use two laptop power packs (USB 5V + variable DC Li-ion power packs), which give 16V, and two in series give me -16V..0..+16V. 16V is fine for my +-15V system (OK according to the maker - it's a Bugbrand). They last for hours and hours, and it's quite a big system. You can easily do the ...
