Re: Hemisphere for Ornament and Crime: Logarhythm Branch

I have a small feature request that I think people will find useful. The voltages app does not use the CV inputs. It would be really nice if it added the selected voltage to the input, so you can use it as a gated precision adder as well as just the offset. That's an interesting idea and the functi...

Re: Starthief's Eurorack adventure, 2016-???

It probably won't give you results quite as elaborate as drezno/jena but I use Compare 2 for rhythm extraction pretty frequently. And at audio rates you can do some fun stereo PWM even without the logic outputs. Not sure if that's what you're looking for though. I have an MSCL before my main output ...

Re: Intellijel Rubicon 2 vs SSF Zero Point Oscillator

So does that mean symmetry is basically just an offset added to the linear FM signal before it goes into the balanced modulator? Yes. On the Rubicon 2 panel: The raw TZFM input signal goes through a linearized 2164 whose gain is determined by the Index setting and input. The amplified (or attenuate...

Re: Intellijel Rubicon 2 vs SSF Zero Point Oscillator

Sorry about the sarcasm, Bernie, but I must confess that this whole discussion was starting to piss me off a little bit. Also, I found that whole discussion about "what is TZFM" to be very confusing. My understanding of TZFM is much simpler than any of that. Let me explain (although the entire expl...

Re: Help figuring out the 4U Palette puzzle

Do you really need 6 VCAs in a system that small? You could replace the DVCA and the octave shifter with a 1u O_C running hemisphere and get a boatload of utilities (though they're CV oriented, whereas kinks/disting is good for audio too). Disting, uvcf, and mutant brain are 20 hp so if you swapped ...

Re: Stock or Hemisphere Suite for my New Ornament and Crime Module?

IMO, hemisphere (the Logarhythm branch looks great too, but I haven't tried it yet.). Having tons of simple and immediate utilities that you can use 2 at a time is far more useful than any of the apps on the stock firmware. I think the stock is really only worth it if you're really attached to one o...

Re: Looking for a builder? Post here!

Hi there, I'm looking to get an Antumbra PATH but nobody seems to be selling them on reverb/ebay so now I'm trying to find a builder. I'd prefer someone in the US but overseas is ok if the shipping/currency matters won't be too expensive. PM me if you're interested. It seems kinda crazy to me that t...

Somewhat related to the previous post, most likely asked already somewhere along those previous 10 milion pages on this thread: Is it possible to do CV mutes of the different channels entirely inside pam's via self-patching ? For example, I want have to one channel of pam's fire triggers at a very ...

There's a video on Intellijel's youtube that uses the recording scan CV mode with an audio rate ramp to use recorded stick movement as a waveshaper. It's one of my favorite modules :)

id love an extended version with a bit of logic: every switch has an input jack for gates or triggers. The jack being input A and the switch input B of a logic operation or flipflop you can set globally (for all switches). If you have a lot of gates and triggers in your system I believe it would gi...

Haha I got the stock email for the 215 too and foolishly figured they'd last 'til the inevitable 4th sale. Guess not.

Re: Starthief's Eurorack adventure, 2016-???

FWIW, Tete does a ton of stuff. I found tetrapad to be a heck of a lot easier to use with it - especially with combo mode the display helps with setting up your various modes for each pad. Without it you kinda have to divine the settings from various colored lights which is a bit annoying. It defini...

SavageMessiah, who built your module? https://reverb.com/shop/gear-pile-deals To be clear, this a module they built and listed, not a build I requested. It took forever to get here because it probably got stuck in a warehouse waiting for space on a plane during the worst of the coronavirus shutdown...

Re: Random*Source Resonant Equalizer... or?

Not sure. The description for mine reads 'I build these modules with the highest input gain possible and a Burr Brown 2604 chip controlling the gain circuit - that makes the module very versatile - You have a lot of gain on tap (both inputs) - the right one is slightly (just a tad) hotter than the l...

Re: New DivKid module

Now I'm torn between this or ADDAC 215 to add some more S&H to my system. Not going to get either right now - I've spent way too much lately.

If nothing else, the video has shown the value of half-rectified stepped random (that's the 50% 0V unipolar outs). I'll have to give that a try with Kinks.

Re: Random*Source Resonant Equalizer... or?

Ha, I got mine today. I've only spent a few minutes poking at it so far (supposed to be working) and this thing is exactly as nasty as I was hoping. Between like 1 and 2 o'clock on the feedback knob it tends to go absolutely apeshit. I was trying to duplicate a sound Hainbach was making in one of hi...

I didn't understand the difference between the caps when I was buying one. Oh well, if worse comes to worse, I'll...

Re: Random*Source Resonant Equalizer... or?

I would help but I ordered one from a builder in russia and the shipment got coronavirused so I have no idea when I'm going to get it. As far as alternatives, the ADDAC 601 is probably the only thing that really fits - it's only 8 bands vs 10 but it has full VCA control over every band (and envelope...

I want a simple eight input - one output mixer. Rather like the Manhattan Analog Mix but with eight inputs instead of three. Even if it was 12hp I'd happily go with that if it had proper knobs.

Thighp.
If you chain 2 Befaco STMix together you'd have 8 inputs + one AUX in totalling 12 hp.

Stages is a great choice for a small system - it's stupidly powerful and flexible when self-patched. See Comparative Irrelevance on youtube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQBQ6F ... _FkTexeE8g for tons of actual applications of that flexibility.
