At this price, this thing is a bad joke. Hard to fathom how Jomox is still in business really.

Another thing I don't like about the USAMO is that the plugin is tied to a license key for some strange reason - the software is useless without the hardware so I don't get why it is not free to use. You're only allowed to activate it on 3 computers, then you have to email the developer if you want ...

If you want subtle tuning fluctuations maybe you could use a S&H LFO on the synth or via MIDI to modulate the pitch by a small amount ? :hmm:

If you can do some multi-tracking / overdubbing you could save some money...do you really need to mix all those 18 channels live?

If not then you 're gonna need a mixer. There are some digital mixers without faders, for mixing in the DAW.

I have spent too much time on these exact issues! The Quadra thru sounds like a weak link there and is possibly degrading your clock signal. "Power over MIDI" is not in line with the official MIDI spec... I'd look into getting a multi-output MIDI interface instead of a thru box. The iConnectivity bo...

I agree that the A4 sounds weak and is not worth the money but I'm pretty happy with the Rytm's kicks (and of course as a drum machine it has the best sequencer by far). Did you get the added synthesis algorithms that were introduced with an OS update ? The "silky" kick works pretty good for me for ...

This is possibly the most tragic synth demo video ever made. I thought it was a parody when I watched it but it seems it is for reals.

enjoy!

Not sure what makes you say that it "sounds like wool". Watching crap youtube demos? The Rytm's kick makes my speaker cones work hard.... Maybe the hats are not as hard and in your face as a Vermona or MFB but nothing that a little processing can't fix. I guess if you want harsh and nasty analogue s...

The only significant updates from the Rytm mk1 are the basic (and unnecessary in 2017) sampling option, a dedicated fill button and slightly better pads. The sound engine is the same. I posted this on the elektronauts forum (albeit with more anger and profanity as I had just discovered this limitati...

Yeah I wish stereoping will make a firmware for their bigger controller to work with the Blofeld and other synths. Or just f***ing open up their controllers with a software editor! The Midi Design thing is absurd for the same reason. If it was programmable and cost half the money (without the silly ...

I just learned that this isn't a feature yesterday (after I already ordered it). I was expecting some nasty industrial noise but this synth sounds very musical. Finally a synth maker that doesn't skimp on the screen (understatement!) and gives you a way to trigger sounds on a module without needing to attach a keyboard or sequencer! :yay: Ability to read and write any USB stick ...

Fair point. I think it's more the cheap calculator display that only has space/resolution for abbreviations that makes it hard to get into. Apparently the Elektron designers are justifying these displays because pixel art is cool. The MD's capabilities are pretty hard to beat and it does soun...

It has the awesome "Elektron QA" engine for real mechanical percussion... such as the Digitone Rattle!

Yeah I get that. I can dig names like Rubicon, and Neutron for that matter ... I think "Neuron" would have been cooler tho.

"Maths" and "Braids" have some relevance and point to what the modules actually do.

But "Cocoquantus" ? f*** off!

I'd rather have stable tuning than 1% more fat that nobody cares about and nobody will notice in a mix... or even 10% more fat that will have to be EQ'd out to sit well in a mix.

This new analog poly looks like the business! is there a guesstimate for the price of the kit?
