See the writings of Graham Hinton for a lot more on this!
Tried to search, however no such luck. Would like to read up on this.. do you have a specific reference?

Re: LM2577 Boost Circuit

For your DC connector, there are two pins and one is 12V higher than the other. You just need to establish which of the two is the higher voltage. The high one is your +V and the low one is your -V. So that is determined by the power adapter right? As to if the sleeve or the tip on the male connect...

Re: LM2577 Boost Circuit

No - it's nothing to do with centre negative connectors. It's because voltage is relative. An isolated 12V wall supply does not provide ground and +12V (or ground and -12V): it just provides two output connections that differ by 12V. "Isolated" means that neither terminal is connected to mains grou...

Re: LM2577 Boost Circuit

Just came across this video about the DC barrel connector being centre negative...

Assume that is what is happening in the above schematic? A DC power adapter provides a negative power supply?

Re: LM2577 Boost Circuit

The tip is +V. The sleeve is -V. They are 12 volts apart with +V being higher. That is all there is to know -- voltage is a relative concept. So let us call +V "zero volts". Then what is -V? It must be -12 volts. So now I have my negative voltage and I am seeking a positive 12V supply. Thanks for t...

Re: LM2577 Boost Circuit

+V and -V are the voltages from the input DC supply. -V is going to be the -12V output, and +V is going to be the 0V output. Since +V is 12V above -V , so far so good. The LM2577 generates a voltage that is 24V above the -V, and that becomes the +12V output. Ta-da! The warning about the DC connecto...

LM2577 Boost Circuit

I'm looking at designing a console mixing application that is independent of the power supply from the typical +-12v Eurorack case power supply. I'm planning on powering it from a +12v DC power wall adapter and came across this circuit, which converts an input of +12v, into a split +-12v. https://so...

Analog Waveform divider / multiplier

Was just thinking if there is a possibility of dividing or multiplying an analog signal in an analog circuit? Say a 100hz sine wave into a 50hz sine wave? I’m aware of the process in the digital domain, however was curious in the analog domain? Anyone have any experience? The difficulties? Drawbacks?

Re: Eurorack retail prices in Australia

Where even is Australia? ;) You know we used to have running jokes with Americans we met in various contries who genuinely asked which US state it is in, or even if it was a state they hadn't heard of. Jokes about drop bears (look it up) and how our shorter friends were kangaroo jockies. So gullibl...

Yeah, tssop packages are nice and tiny. The ole' flux and solder drag should work nicely if hand soldering.

this looks great! Just wish it was 805! Haven't had much luck with 603(resistors and caps are fine)
Looking at the build files, the passive components have plenty of space around them and from my experience, you can still solder 0805 on 0603 pads. It may overshoot every so slightly.

Just out of curiosity, wondering if anyone has made a walkthrough / review of this module. I know there is already a 'clouds' video, however specifically geared towards the improved features of the Supercell.

No, sorry. This is the standard clouds firmware. Ill search for the superparasites firmware for you.

I'm not familiar with this firmware, is it just the parasites firmware or is there a super version?
